Yes, you can CPO car with accident as long as no structural damage and no more than 3 repainted panels. CPO is just an extended warranty with a condition checklist for tire, brake, maintenance, etc requirements. Wouldn't let the CPO logo give you any more confidence in the cars condition. Have seen plenty heavily tracked cars and even ones that aren't up to CPO specs as far as tires and brakes for sale.
I can't say anything about the Porsche CPO process, but I bought a CPO'd Audi S5 several years ago and it needed rear tires after 2,000 miles of highway driving. I called and complained (there was no way the tires were 7/32" as stated in the CPO booklet) but Audi basically said the process was dealer's discretion. I wouldn't be surprised if Porsche were the same.

Nice looking and optioned GTS. Only 11K miles and prices starting to get more reasonable in some cases.

This Kg11 goof making "the idiot" comment about me

Gotta laugh at this stuff.

So much for selling in a day and ended up getting bought by a dealer for what? A lot less than asking. Congrats to the new owners?? Lol. Gladly pay up then Kg11, where's the checkbook?

Moral of the story? The experts on HFS know their sh*t. Yes I like PTS, and yes you can usually get more $$ at resale depending on color combo and build. All depends.

Here's the old RL classified ad for Rivera Blue car.

PTS was originally used to satisfy the uniqueness that an owner wanted with his car. It has evolved into the belief that it is a selling point in the used market. I doubt anyone who is a buyer in the pre-owned market cares. From my limited time here, some of the "sports" options are what most people want. Seldom read "too bad it lacks PTS (insert color)"

Agree. Many buy it hoping it's worth $XXXX more in value in the GT cars. It's becoming overplayed quite a bit and very mismanaged by Porsche. Now having raised the $$ to $11,430 for Carrera's and even more for the GT cars, they are trying to slow demand and take away the "premium" at resale. Not like you're going to make $$ at resale.

Nice option to get some cool unique colors, but smaller audience at resale. I'm a fan, but has definitely become the "it thing" with the GT cars and gone mainstream with the attention it's been given on the forums.

In this case, the Riviera Blue C2S is definitely is listed at a premium. Even if it sold for $90,000, it would be a good $12-15k over where I would expect to see a loaded 2013 C2S with 25,000 miles. Given what these cars cost, I don't doubt the right buyer would pay an extra $15k for the "right color" that they can't find anywhere else. I don't see a lot of PTS 991 Carrera models come up for sale. Even running a search in the marketplace turned up very few. The MEX Blue C4S manual a year ago for $96k, this one, the GTS Riviera that was "new" and for sale forever (who knows what it sold for). There is an Dark Olive PTS that was posted a couple of months back, but Olive certainly isn't one of the more popular colors, and many people don't like beige interiors. Most of the PTS cars I see are GT cars. From what I gather, the PTS "upcharge" seems to be about the premium they sell for now. In 20 years, who knows? The article in Panorama a few months back said that the hottest original 911 colors now are those that were very unpopular for many years.

Throw the VIN up so folks can pull the build sheet, see in-service dates, run carfax if they want to, and track past/future purchases of the same car.
