MY 2015 Options in the online configurator
I was looking at the online configuratior and noticed a few changes.
1. New 2 tone interior color of black/garnett red
2. New natural leather color of garnett red
3. Finally an option for a backup camera
4. Multifunction steering wheel option moved to "interior" from "interior leather"
5. It looks like some more options under "leather interior" Looks like some additional stitching choices
There's probably a lot that I missed

Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Max. Not clear yet if for MY2015 Only or if includes balance of MY2014 production!
Among the highlights:
1) 'Carrera Red' Leather interior replaced by totally new 'Garnet Red' as one of two choices in Special/Natural Leathers.
2) 'Black/Garnet Red' is now offered as an additional 'Two-Tone' offering. With appropriate deviating stitching as with previous 'Two-Tones' (Black/Luxor Beige, Agate/Pebble Grey, Black/Platinum Grey). Since the 'Black' portion is not a Natural leather, it doesn't qualify for a Natural 'Two-Tone' as does 'Espresso/Cognac'. This is bound to be a popular option since there has been numerous request for Porsche to offer a coordinated 'Black/Red' interior for ages. They finally allowed a 'Black/Carrera Red' in the 991 Turbo S and this brings new offering (albeit with Garnet) brings it to all other 991 models!
3) New Metallic Paints offering: 'Jet Black Metallic' (instead of 'Basalt Black') and 'Carrara White Metallic'.
4) Park Assist with Reversing Camera (no surprise - it's mandatory for US for new Model Year).

Garnet red is nothing else than a new name for Carrera red. Cars are being delivered with garnet red interiors for a couple of months now.
A member of 6speed called "cheesehead" ordered his car in rhodium silver with carrera red interior and there was garnet red on his specs, when he got the car. However, the color is not different from Carrera red.
New options:
- 638 Park Asist front & rear, incl. Backup camera
- XXG Clear Glass taillights for C4 and C4S and Targa models (although this doesn't show up in the render...)
- XTG doorsil trim covered in leather
- XLG Storage compartment lid, covered in Alcantara with "PORSCHE" logo
- XLJ Storage compartment lid, covered in Alcantara with Porsche Crest.
Besides that, one can now select a color with some options, like exterior package painted and some more.

well, somehow my order got screwed up in terms of the options so i have to REorder...i'll find out about what the deal is with this refresh...the carrara white looks appealing

my original order will just be a stock vehicle so i took the liberty of completely flipping my order around and getting a april or may 2014 allocation. if i wait until 2015 then i'd be looking at getting the car in mid-september which is useless for me since its a summer car. i'll probably be getting mid to end of june which is okay. truthfully, none of the 2015 changes interest me enough to wait out a whole season.

Humm..... After toiling with the interior spec and after getting the great advice in this forum we had decided on a black leather interior with red seats and red door panels and contrast stitching because the two toned was not available last week when we were finalizing our order. It is about $2500 more than the two toned option now available. My salesperson thought the new options were for 2015 but he is checking. We are supposed to get the allocation today.
It would be odd that the configurator offers this with all the pricing if not available for ordering now. I hope it's available without delaying our order. I'll report back once I hear something.
