Then you came to the right forum to find out. Attached is a photo of the sleek & aerodynamic 991 introduced as a late MY2012...and the MY2016 .2 facelift will look even better!

How's the 'great white north' treating you & your 'Orange' .1 997 gt3 RS?

The wheels on that 991 I posted above are aftermarket. The correct factory originals are 16" and less blingy (see below). I have it from reliable sources in Zuffenhausen (and Gmund, Austria) that the semaphores will definitely be kept for the .2 facelift, although with the improved LED's! The aerodynamics of this new 991 can't be beat, thought. The drag coefficient is still among the best in the industry TODAY!

^^^That....and most importantly,the C2S/GTS might still come with a manual transmission,while the GT3 won't...

Will I be able to replace those boring white LED semaphores for euro orange ones? Suncoast?

Are you betting against me? Let me think where I have seen those wipers parked upright before...

In any case, I'm 100% certain the semaphores are LED's!

Chuck your car would look sweet with the new chrome hub caps. They cover the whole wheel. Very aero!

That's what makes it so rad Eduardo! What could be cooler than emulating the GT1, LMP1 and... 356! Will the engine air intake also be moving?? The holes cut into the rear bumper are pure subterfuge when their real aim is an uber-cool roof air intake!

Default Could the .2 991 GTS be the ultimate 911 of our generation...

Let's count the options that could create the ultimate 'sport' version of the 991!

1) choice of 7 speed manual transmission w. rev matching (yes) or the improved PDK Sport

2) rear axle steering

3) active front spoiler from 991 Turbo S

4) choice of 5 lug wheels (yes) or centerlocks

5) choice of new sport bucket seats (yes) or sport seats plus

6) optional alcantara interior like those in a gt3

7) rear seating for your children (why should they miss the fun?)

This is perhaps the last opportunity we will have to experience a choice of these options (certainly w. a manual transmission) on a new 911 in our lifetime! Are we getting yet excited about this possible .2 991 GTS configuration, or what!!!!!!

I know I am!

PS A little bit more information on the active front spoiler that could be offered on the .2 991 gts:

I wholeheartedly agree with all of the above, except I would want the rev matching feature of the manual transmission to have a switch if you want to turn it off and do it yourself, just like in the C7.

"Driving 911 cars with a manual gearbox and Sport Chrono pack can now be even sportier: In Sport Plus mode, the system automatically double-declutches during downshifts."

Currently in a 991 manual (built after this feature was introduced with the debut of the Carrera 4's), if you don't engage Sport Plus mode, it doesn't rev match! But perhaps they need to add a program where you choose 'Sport Plus Mode' and can also defeat the rev matching feature. I wonder if there is a technical reason for not offering it...or is it they just need to develop a whole new set of algorithms for it at Porsche!

Porsche 911 Turbo Aerodynamics: Best of All Worlds - YouTube
I love all those things you listed and want them desperately in my next 911... except I am still a bit skeptical about the rear axle steering and the active aero. They are nice, but I am not sure a car meant purely for enjoyment such as a GTS edition needs those pricey/heavy/complex items.

The RWS is surely a benefit, but not really necessary for a pure and enjoyable driving experience. I hope it's an option and not mandatory like the GT3 as I am still undecided if its something worth the expense/weight/complexity.

The active aero seems a bit of a compromise to me in this iteration at least. Yes active aero is a wonderful thing, but after watching that Turbo video it seems to me the main benefit in this example is to improve gas mileage. That is nice, but not really something that excites me on a car where maximum downforce would be ideal under all circumstances as I am not interested in attempting V-max. Active aero will be worthwhile one day no question, I am just not sure it is necessary on a such a sport focused 911 edition as the GTS.

My dream add on to that list would be a version of the GT3 engine... but that would just be too good to be true. A GT3-lite without a fixed wing while retaining both a back seat and a 7MT

... maybe even a passive suspension option!
