Sigh. Agree.
But its a ways off yet. Major pre-requisite is extensive development of nuclear power. Until then expect to see a lot more hybrids.

In the future, I will be dead.

But then my daughter can drive my 911 as it will be converted to run on Jack Daniels.

Sorry, the ECU is not programmed to burn E85 or Jack Daniels. Who is going to do the conversion for you? All the aftermarket folks are working hard on mods for the forthcoming electric 911. Besides even if you manage the conversion, I have serious doubts about PSM & PTM being able to cope with JD. My advice.. sell the 991 and put a deposit down for the electric 911.

lol.

I'm sure. I just like making Jack Daniels jokes Pilot.

All electric 911. Here. 0-60. 7 sec. Top speed 140.

Fast forward to 1:00 in to see it drive off silently. Creepers!

I much prefer the smell and sound coming from the combustion engine than an electric motor.

When everything is electric/ nuclear fusion/ or whatever propulsion, and self driving; I'll probably be too old then to drive or care!

Yea, me too.

When I want to smell some ozone, I pull out some of my fathers old Lionel Trains and run them on an oval around the Christmas tree!

Sorry for the tangent but has anyone seen the Tesla Model S fires over the last couple weeks?

What's up with that?

This could be a nice thread as long as we keep the jokes going.

Future DIY's for the electric Porsche:

"Cup holder delete"

"How to install hi-flo air vents. Increase airflow and cooling to you and your passenger's feet"

Electric cars are a fad. Early 20th century, mid-to-late, dropped off then came back. We'll have combustion engines for a very long time.
