I do both. On clean wheels and barrels I apply RejeX wax and then use the AAWP as a topper. Works great and all you ever need to wash your wheels is warm soapy water. Goodbye expensive wheel cleaners.

I overworked this at first myself (using wheel cleaner, etc). Now i just hit my S wheels with a light spray wax (I use Griots) at every weekly wash. Then simply wipe it off (just like rest of car). Brake dust still shows up as every week progresses, but washes off easily.
