PTS Riviera Blue '13 991S Available....
Was looking through dealer websites and found this PTS 'Riviera Blue' '13 991S available for sale in Ohio. It is stunning! The vehicle is located at Porsche of Beachwood, the old Stoddard dealership that has moved to new location since Penske bought it. You can contact Brad Kennett at Cell (440) 309-5002 or anyone else there. I have no affiliation with this or any other dealership. It's just interesting to see a PTS 'Riviera Blue' 991S with interesting options such as glass roof, aluminum window trim, etc! We need more 'daring' US Porsche dealers willing to order PTS on spec!

Not only PTS but Platinum wheels, clear tail lights and SPASM.With a Sport Design wheel, which is like $1500 when ordered with PDK, which this one is. If indeed the dealer really did order this on spec then this is one very creative and courageous dealer! Up here in the great Pacific Northwet the dealers seem to order all their cars using three wheels and three darts. One wheel has exterior colors silver, white, black, red, yellow, the other has interior colors black, black, black, and beige, the third is divided into options where something is embossed, something is leather, PSE, SPASM, PDK, seats and stereo. They spin the first two wheels and throw darts at the third. That's what they order. And no guarantee all three darts even hit the wheel! Totally random. This car on the other hand bears all the marks of someone who cared enough to think things through. Color me cynical but as much as I would prefer to think there's a dealer out there somewhere who cares enough- even if its really just caring about distinguishing his dealerships marketing approach- to order a car like this but I have to believe the odds favor this was a customer who walked away from a custom build. Boy would I love to be proven wrong though! Please, please, please prove me wrong! If only so all the Seattle area dealerships can see for themselves just how far off their game they really are! (And no I am not exaggerating- my last trip to Barrier a few weeks ago every car in the showroom was some variation of white over black. 911's, Boxster, Panamera, Cayenne- all white over black. More variety in a Sears Appliance section.)

My old PTS 'Signal Green' 997S was ordered by Pioneer in 2007 on spec. West Houston has done several, including another 'Signal Green' '08 cab and a 'Gulf Orange' '06 coupe - both on spec! Walter's had done several notable spec PTS, including the only 'Riviera Blue' Spyder! Euroclassics seems to love 'Azure Blue' - they have done several on spec! Same for all the others that I have mentioned!
So take heart and try to get your 'Northwet' dealers to be 'bold' & order some PTS!

Sweet looking car. It's too bad they ruined it with the glass sunroof! What a shame!
Many owners bemoned that fact that the sunroof was standard on the 996 and 997. Porsche finally listened and made the sunroof optional on the 991. Then what do the dealers do? They order the sunroof on most of thier "spec" cars, and to make matters worse, they order the fugly glass sunroof all too often.
