My car is a 2017 C2S, and my driveway slopes downward from the street to my garage, and my garage is at about 55 degrees angle relative the driveway, which forces me to do a back and forth shuffle when entering the garage from the street. If I open the door of the car on the apron of the driveway in front of the garage, which apron is also sloped towards the garage and compound curved, the green "Hold" lamp immediately comes on, even if I have moved the PDK selector to Park position.

There it is guys, if you have the smoking package, you are an evil SOB who deserves the wrath of the PC crowd! You know the ones, the TOLERANT ones.

You're responding to a 12-year-old post!?! I think it's about time for you to relax. OBTW, this is a PORSCHE forum.

Smoking package? Why not accept a functional electrical outlet. No one has ever smoked in my 2017 C2S or ever asked to. But the outlet is hand for use with my battery maintenance charger, and can be covered when not in use. What's not to like about that? Porsche probably should rename that option. That might lower the BP of Booth9999.

^^^^This.
Due to the original owner not checking off the box for a no cost Smokers Package option, I did a retro fit that included the new wiring harness in addition to the 12v outlet and door. It was very labor intensive and included removing the entire console frame and PCM and A/C control to install the new harness. IMO it worth the $ and work as it gives the console a more complete look with the door and is the most convenient and accessible 12v socket for the maintenance charger and charging phones and devices with a USB/C adapter that also displays voltage.

5 mm spacers were an option on the 2012.5 991. My C2S SPASM car has them and it still gets stares for what makes it look just a bit better.

Interesting. Although I think the 5 mm spacers enhance the look of my 991.2, I've NEVER had anyone even acknowledge their existence.

My 2012.5 991.1S has 5mm spacers too, but there is a separate receipt for them in the records I received from the previous owner. Agree that it's a very subtle change that just makes it look "right" without being over the top. OEM+ I'd call it.

Not only that - he completely missed the sarcasm in the post to which he was responding.
