PDK Knob Conversion
This post outlines a few changes I made .. they are mostly cosmetic: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1360...fferences.html
I would even go so far as to say they all are, excepting the PDK shifter, hear me out.
I come from manual transmissions for all my driving life until I purchased a Nissan GT-R back in 2008. This was my first non-manual transmission, as it had a DCT. Of note is that the paddle shifters were attached to column, so they were always in the same position regardless of steering wheel position. Also of note, the console shifter could select manual or automatic MODE, but could not select gears within M mode. First gear was short (much like my 991.2 feels), I am always in manual mode (maybe 100 miles out of 75k were in Auto mode on my GT-R). So now imagine needing to shift when you are making a right turn into the inside lane, and you want to shift mid-turn, In the case of the GTR I would just slip a hand to the fixed position R paddle and boom … in the 991, I could not always track the paddle position .. nice, I can use the console shifter instead of paddles … just like all my previous manuals, positionally anyway (L on wheel, R on gear shifter) this became my method, but never felt consistent with prior experience due to the PDK gooseneck. once I converted the shifter to the one above with a normal manual feeling round shift **** .. it became perfect.
So based on that above, I would say, for me, that this is one of best functional experience changes I have made to my car, it just feels right now. I would go so far as to say that if I was buying a new 991 back in the day .. and the Pdk **** was an option (as opposed to the gooseneck) for the price that suncoast is charging .. I would have gladly sprung for it.
I sometimes have to remind myself to use my cosmetically upgraded paddles, so they don’t feel left out.

Now to be fair my car is racing yellow so the lettering in yellow is a bonus for me.

A more classic option to rid your interior of the terrible looking stock **** and add a touch of class fitting for a carerra. Thanks @stitchtosample
Thoughts about with or without the shift pattern?
Two questions:
1. Is there any lockout feature to the shifter (I.e., front trigger to disengage)
2. Where did you find this; please do share the source?!

There is no disengage button, instead Manuel has created a unique mechanism where you push the whole **** down to change gear.
At the moment I am leaning towards the red lettering
