Agreed, did it on mine as well. Suncoast caught on others were doing this so they've made a "kit" and jacked up the price accordingly.

Piece of cake, less than 5 minutes to switch out. Paying for the piece is more painful.

Good find, thanks for posting!
@tx-911 When you placed the order, did you get to specify the thread color? Any chance to make this match my 2-tone interior?

You PDK guys complaining about the cost of upgrading your shifter should check the prices for an upgraded manual shifter. The one in the OP is almost a bargain :O

991 shift **** and boot CF
991 shift **** and boot mahogany

It's nice to have options! Someone did this on their GT4, look here for DIY instructions.

Don't forget to order the emergency flasher/lock button replacement piece. You need that too.

Yeah, already thought of that. It doesn’t look like the Suncoast “kit” comes with it so I’ll have to order it separately.

When you get the part(s) in, can you share the OE P/N's? I already did the shift boot mod but would be interested in looking into changing out the shifter.....

The Suncoast kit does come with the console trim but the PDK upgrade from the GT4 does not appear to.

No it didn’t, you only choose between leather or Alcantara; no option to choose deviated stitching color.
