This is kind of cool, but it is pricey.

Just installed the "GT3" style **** and boot kit from Suncoast in my newly acquired T. Pretty easy as I'd done it before on my TTS coupe I sold my son. Dresses up the interior and gets rid of the plastic shift surround I've never liked. Suncoast kit comes with the small trim piece for the flasher/door lock switches.

it's all about looks for this mod. I did it and it makes the pdk cars center console look better. Less silver plastic.

Trying too hard, IMO.

Upgrading to the leather boot from the manual cars is what really ties the room car together, IMO. No need to pretend when it comes to the actual shifter.

I did the version in my .1 because it got rid of the ugly silver trim piece and the + and - which was wrong after I did the Cobb PDK tune.

If I were forced to drive a PDK, I'd at least want that boot and ****. ;p

It originated in the 992 and while it looks cool, it's darn pricey, but what Porsche accessory isn't?

That’s exactly what I thought. I love the way it looks, but dang it. $600 is a lot for a purely aesthetic mod. Then again, you will see it and touch it everyday.

I know, I've been wanting to do something with the **** for a while, had considered an Alcantara one, or switching to a leather boot, but this mod takes care of both, and the lettering on top is yellow which would match my inside theme perfectly, so considering you get rid of the shiny **** and get rid of the fugly bezel all at the same time, makes the price a bit more bearable. Still a lot of money for a purely cosmetic mod, but...... as you said, you'll touch it each time you get in, and she feels faster when she pretty. LOL. Order placed, now to wait 4+ weeks for special order item.....

Good find, thanks for posting!

Getting rid of the cheap looking plastic bezel with the chrome raised letters is enough of a reason to purchase this. The bezel has annoyed me since day one. Worst looking part on the car.
