Any 991 owners tempted to upgrade to the new Sport Classic?

Am I tempted to upgrade to the SC? - Not even a little bit.

Its very nice, but I'm not tempted...
Like others, I upgraded my car's front and rear seats, lower dash panels, door panels, console, shift boot, a and b pillars.
I'm still trying to decide on wheels and window trim. I've got silver wheels at the moment, but I like these forgeline FU3C, just can't pull the trigger.

Thanks! I ordered the material from the UK and had a local shop re-construct the seats.

Thank you for writing this. You captured what was going in my head in regards to all these limited cars quite perfectly.

Totally agree. Porsche is becoming more and more of a branding exercise despite making great cars. So sad but likely profitable

I couldn't agree more and a great article.
I wanted a GT3 to track but have been unable to procure a build slot for the past 15 years. I have bought five Porsches over the past 20 years with the hopes that someday I would be able to buy a new GT3 with intentions to track it. I have participated in 5 Porsche driving school events which doesn't help and developed close relationships with two salesmen. I have always had my Porsches serviced at the dealership and traded cars back to the dealership. Supposedly I was on a wait list for the GT3 992 but have given up due to current conditions.
All of this led me to buy a Lotus Evora GT last year in order to have a car to drive locally as well as to track. Let's just say I have not been disappointed. I have a limited edition, fantastic car that hardly anyone knows what it is. The Evora GT draws some curiosity and a lot of compliments. Additionally, this car is a serious track day car, a blast to drive, and sounds unbelievably fantastic.
My only suggestion would be for Porsche to make allotments for those of us who actually are track enthusiasts with credentials, or randomly select individuals who are on the "wait list" but not big time players.
Thank you your article.
