I'll check that. Honestly, I'm quite impressed with the TTSes steering as-is, but thought to try the GT3 mode.

It's possible that the Turbo already comes with an updated/improved version of the EPS considering it was released a couple years after the first Carreras. Let us know how it works out for you either way though!

Has anyone had an issue with hiding the warning? when i go to change the 121 code to "0" and write it, it fails to write.

Default Los Angeles PIWIS meeting

In a couple weeks I'll be doing my yearly Yosemite roadtrip and I will be passing through Los Angeles on June 2nd (Sunday). So far there are 5 rennlist folks interested in meeting up for a PIWIS session. Shoot me a PM if you're in the area and you wish to be added to the whatsapp group for more details.

How do you suppress the warning on the ThinkDiag tool? Still learning how to use this. Also have a early 991.1 and I got the steering limited warning.

go to instrument cluster/code/brush hiding/rule coding and you'll see a bunch of options. Look for EPS warnings-Power steering fault warning (121) and change from "1" to "0". That should take care of it.

So I have been trying to get the exhaust valve open on my C2S and I was able to toggle on the sports exhaust flap option under AC but it is not letting me assign controls or get past the BKE key field assignment page as it says “Does Not Support Read/Write Encoding”. I was able to get past this screen before I toggled on the sport exhaust flap option. I have the PSE button but I have not installed it into my original control switch yet.

just fyi, my car is a .1 S with No PSE Equipped but I am trying to get the stock center muffler valves open using the PSE button which I will install into my control panel.

I just did this yesterday on a .1S along with another forum member. go to the thinkdiag thread and go to the end. I took apart the switch console to get access to the buttons that were under the dummy buttons on the cover and coded the exhaust COV valve to the 3rd button on the right. You do need to first look for "sports exhaust flap" in AC and make sure it says "yes"

Where did you get the PSE button? I've been looking and don't find anyone that sells just the button.

these the steps that Connor listed:

ThinkDiag steps are
Air Conditioning>Brush/Hidden>Coding>Porsche sport exhaust enabled (Yes)
(I assume i got the order correct, but its found in the AC section)

Now, depending on where you Exhaust button is placed, You can go into the BKE section and put the button where ever you please.

Decided to switch the steering model to GT3 on my early 991.1, but my steering gets even heavier 😂, not lighter like others experienced. Is it just placebo that it felt lighter?

It feels lighter at low speeds in the center but gets progressively heavier with more steering angle.

Will buy the Amazon tool. Anyone with 9/2013 build date able to do this without any errors? 2014 C2S. Worst case if it doesn’t work, will just return it.

I have a 11/2013 build date and I needed to suppress the warning.

But it works without issues with the warning suppressed and I notice an improvement, specifically with being able to make smaller and more precise adjustments.

I have a feeling for early 991.1, it just disables PSP, thus the heavier feel.

Running the latest thinkdiag soft, any guidance will be appreciated. Mine is 14S, with PDCC. Under functions I see “steering wheel electronic” and “electric power steering”. Not sure which one to choose and how to proceed after that.

Also do I need to backup Original software prior to coding?

Has someone done this on a 991.1 GTS? Thinking of doing this now that I have a PIWIS 3. I'm assuming the PIWIS 3 won't throw an error with these later model year cars (mine is a 2015)? I only saw instructions in this thread for the PIWIS II and some other coding tool.

FWIW I've already done the TPC racing front width kit, cup car sway bars, control arms, etc. Along with full Tractive DDA R/T setup and DSC controller.
