I think the key is that you bought the ParkAssist option.

With the iSudar kit, can you still use the factory USB port in the glove box to connect to CarPlay, or do you need to use their usb cable?

Both work. I use the USB in the glovebox for my music USB and the one that they provide to plug in the phone to charge.

Hi,

I'm planing also to add this Interface for WirelessCarplay to my 991.1 C2. Doing so, I also wanted to add the backup camera. Can someone recommend a specific model?

Thanks in advance,
Max

I believe there are several options. I have NavTV and it works well.

I think he's looking for recommendations of the actual camera, yes?

I'm interested too. I'm looking for the smallest/least obtrusive with the best optics.

That was the answer I gave. NavTV sells the camera alone, along with a system. Go to the navtv website and you'll see the camera being sold for $250.

Yes, exactly - I was looking for some recommendations for cameras to go with the iSudar CarPlay. I belive that NavTV Camera is also only an China Camera, that is sold on a higher price. Since I'm from Europe and are going to order anyway directly from China, I would also want to buy a camera there.
Thanks for your help!

I bought a rear camera from Aliexpress..for around $20 late last year. It actually replaces one of the license plate lights (you still get to keep the light on that side) so if you don't want to drill a hole...it's an option.

I used a similar option. The only downside is that it may not match the Kelvin color rating as the OEM license plate LED on the passenger side. The LED light with the camera is a cooler Kelvin rating compared to the OEM light.

Very true. I've considered trying a small piece of window tint to maybe get them in line. I'm actually heading to an auto parts store in Abit to buy some.

Probably won't work but it's worth a shot.

No I’m not the original owner. I bought it 3 years old with 5000 miles. I’m posting the sticker below with the included options.

Your dealer was mistaken. Here’s a 2015 with a factory reversing camera- you can decode the VIN and it comes up in the original build.

I think the common thread here is the ParkAssist option. He probably meant that the camera wasn't standard, or available without this option.

Ok… so I’ve skimmed these pages and I’m still confused.

Which one of these systems is the preferred system?

-joyeauto?
-NV auto?
-Isuder?

*I would prefer to use my factory mic and rearview camera
