991 headlight lens replacement
#31
I bought the same lens from ebay and tried to install it but was unsuccessful. It could be my fault for my lack of skills.
First off, I used a dremmel tool to get the old lens off which takes alot of patience. There was a large amount of leftover glue and I tried to get as much as I can off but it was difficult esp within the grooves of where the lens is supposed to fit. Long story short, upon fit testing, the new lens didnt sit flush and was very noticeable. Far more noticeable if if had been installed on the car. Again, I am not versed at this, so maybe you will have better luck. The seller was nice enough to accept the return and full refund. I just had to pay shipping back to china.

So I had them installed by a specialist and the results are great ! Removing the glue is not easy indeed so have a guy that’s used to it do it. Here are some before after pics
so I would recommend this seller, from my experience. Cheers.

Just sent you folks a message on your website. Would love to get this project completed over the winter and be ready to go for next spring.

Has anyone sent their lights in to Rennlights and received them back? Wondering how this turned out for folks. I may do this as well.
This does remind me of a service I used when I had an e39 M5 with the dreaded dead gauge cluster pixels. Remove the entire cluster, which is easy, send it in, and the company repairs the pixels and sends the cluster back to you. Easy. The company was well known to the e39 community and did great work.
