Took car out to bed brakes last night. So far so good. Pedal feels great and hard, pads are nice and bitey. Going on this rally tomorrow so should be able to put them to some work for a few hours.

I believe it does. My mechanic used some grease to prevent galling.

Had car out for a long spirited drive today. With the MX72's/SS lines/Fluid + Sport Cup 2 it's like a new car. So much more confidence. Tires are like glue (and better ride) and the brakes feel unreal. At first the pads felt a little stiff but after maybe 20 miles they really started to come alive. Now they feel endless...

Great to hear! What was the final tally again?

Also, what's the swept area look like?

Going off top of my head

$550 rotors
$825 pads (Matt @ Speed Freaks is awesome super knowledgeable)
$82 - 2 cans RF650 fluid
$150 - FVD SS lines
$110 - spacers/bolts (you only need half the kit so you can do better than I)
$20 - Rotor paint
——-
$1737

You could go cheaper if you get Troutman SS brake lines, normal brake fluid, and “regular” pads... but IMO go for the full setup with a performance pad and fluid. The car feels more alive, and my wheels were clean after a 4 hour spirited drive.

26mm increase in swept in front... would need to measure rear but I guess 40mm but the pad is same size...

Really great value for the money. I think if someone wanted to just get the larger rotor look to help fill up OEM wheels, they could get "normal" pads and get the cost closer to 1k all in, which is fantastic.
Also dont forget to add the $300 lug bolts

$300 for bolts was hard to swallow, but man do they look awesome.... it killed me to look at my fancy wheels and rusty bolts.

I had car out for a few hours yesterday, brakes feel insane, and came home to clean wheels. Magic pads.

You are right. After reading this thread, I decide to change 340mm front rotors of my 991.1 Carrera S with 997 Turbo front rotors when the time comes. I will keep the rear rotors as they are since I don’t want to source out longer bolts and 12mm spacers.

Very informative and helpful thread.

Def go for it.

The rear caliper spacers/bolts are easy to source from the guy I linked earlier. The rears gain 20mm so a big looks improvement too.

You need 4 spacers and 4 bolts. Same ones he sells for the 997 cars but those guys use spacers in front and rear. We just need them on the rear.

Unfortunately, I live abroad. This is the source of the difficulty..

@AdamSanta85 Do you remember the length of the bolts for the rear calipers? I’d like to do the Tarrett engineering stud kit, they have a longer set for the 350mm Girodiscs upgrade which looks like can work with the 350mm sebros.

Girodisc actually makes their own caliper studs as well and I find them to be designed slightly better than the Tarett Studs. BCS-05 front and BCS-03 rear if you are running the 350mm upgrades. $300 for a full car set.

Not sure on bolt length other than 10mm longer than stock. I would give Tarrett a ring for part number. I’m just using the OEM style bolts on mine

I have had the Sebro 350/350, Endless MX72, SS line combo on my car coming up on two years and a handful of track of track days and still very happy. When my pads wear out going to switch to either Endless ME20 on front or maybe their new MX87 compound, just to try something new. If my car never saw the track I would just stay with MX72 as they really have been great.
