Default 991.1 Rotor size increase

I really want to increase the size of my brakes. I have a 991.1 S which has 340mm front, 330mm rear. I have explored the various popular options such as AP/Essex 350mm, Girodisc 350mm upgrades, RacingBrake 380mm.... All very nice but damned expensive. I want the size increase for both visual reasons, and performance, though mostly visual. My wheel design is very open (HRE P101SC) and well, my brakes look small.

Anyone know of any reasonable cost options that don't require going to two piece?

I know the 991.2 S/GTS has 350mm front, so I bet that rotor would work ($110 x 2 for Sebro Rotors)... the sticking point is getting the caliper spaced out. Girodisc and Essex won't sell their spacers separately... Kills me to spend the extra $1k to get what I really want which is just the spacers. Anyone know of a shop that sells just caliper spacers? I would be willing to pay $100-200 for the tiny caliper spacers which would enable me to upgrade my front rotor size for total of $400 vs $1200-$1400..

Are the included spacers just 10mm thick collars/spacers, and 10mm longer bolts? If so I could have my buddy machine us some spacers in one of his machines or from my google searching 10mm caliper spacers exist, perhaps something that works is already out there for motorcycles or another car. Bolts are easy with the already available stud conversion kits.

Something like this, but for 991 https://racingbrake.com/por-01-k

Anyone have a picture of the spacers included with the Girodisc or Essex kits?

Caliper bolts look the same for nearly all of the cars...

This has materialized quickly... I think I am in business with a 350mm front and rear single piece rotor upgrade for a heck of a lot less than $2400... and can go to 991 GT3 pad.

Yes, I believe you can just use 10mm spacers machined from aluminum-this is a SMART move!

Yep. I found a vendor who supposedly already has the spacer/bolt kits ready to go, and have spoken with a couple knowledgable Porsche experts who both suggested the same off the shelf 350mm front/rear rotor that should work...

I think I am going to pull the trigger... Right now its looking like about $450 drilled/$550 slotted for rotors + $115 for caliper spacers/bolts. This would cover all four wheels.

Pads I am debating Endless MX72 vs Endless MX72+, GT3 size front pad.

Nice-I am thinking this may work on the 991.2 depending on the rotor thickness..

Spacer kit on the way...

Going to order the Endless MX72+ GT3 pads (will take 1.5 months) and order the Sebro slotted rotors. Will probably paint the rotor hats black. I also have some FVD stainless brake lines that have been sitting around and some more Endless fluid I will finish it off with.

I'm excited to see the end result! I also don't like to look at my dinky rotors with my summer wheels on, but didn't want to cough up the extra $$$ to correct it either.

This sounds like the best way to go! Thanks for starting this. Dang... That's 2/2 for helping me out! 😁

Haha no worries. Yea I would say its worth the extra $115 if it's time to do the rotors to get an extra 10mm in front and 20mm in rear.

Great work! What’s the solution for 350mm in the rear? Spacers from the same vendor?

Yes, caliper spacers in rear. I’ll post pictures of spacers when they arrive.

Rotors are from 997TT
