Just now 30% of my search results on CG have been listed for 30+ days.

Also both my local dealers have the most used inventory since the start of the year... one of them never had more than 3-4 usually, for a few weeks in early May they had 0, and now they have 9.
All anecdotal of course.. but I hope the light is at the end of the tunnel.
I agree with this and I think the frothy market for luxury items broadly is cooling. I am a watch nut and I see the same thing in the watch market.

+1, more than half of the cars I have saved in my autotrader account now show "reduced price".

It's hard to quantify, but the "stop sale" campaign i believe definitely had some impact on the supply of cars being advertised for sale. I know guys who were waiting specifically because they wanted a check. You couple that situation, and Spring/early Summer always brings more cars onto the market it's to be expected. However, good luck finding a manual if you want one.

There was a line of 5-6 pre-owned 991.2-gen 911s on the lot of Porsche Marin when I stopped by for some parts this week, including a nice Night Blue Carrera coupe w/PDK, sport seats, no sunroof, and RS Spyder wheels as well as a Carmine Red Carrera GTS or 4 GTS coupe w/7MT.

How were those 991.2s priced, Pete? As you know, I'm in the process of selling a 718 GT4 and the market for those seems very hot.

God bless,

I live in San Diego, but it's pretty well known if you're shopping for luxury/sports cars to not even bother looking at cars being sold by NorCal dealers - the prices are always crazy!

I bet your son just loved riding in that car. I have an injured back and left leg and--temporarily, I hope--cannot depress a clutch pedal. I'm actually enjoying just riding in our 911 while my wife drives...never, ever thought I'd say that!

God bless,

I have been looking for a few months and I think the market is softening a bit. Going to put in an offer today on a 991.2 base that has been on the lot for 5 weeks now.

Saw your post on FB. Their asking price seems reasonable with todays market.

Make sure that the price INCLUDES the CPO and that the full 140 something items have been completed. Be sure the CARFAX checks out clean although that's not a guarantee. I look for service intervals to be sure there aren't any major gaps. Check the tread depth all the way around. Inspect the brake pad thickness - you may want to ask them to put it on a lift for you so you can get underneath the car and look for anything obvious. I had a dealer once try to sell me a car CPO that was not up to CPO spec and they refused to do what was necessary claiming their techs ok'd it. Your best bet is to get an independent Porsche mechanic to give it a good thorough once over. Just beware, the longer you delay in putting down your deposit, the more likely that car will be sold out from under you. Move quickly.
