991 pricing is out of control right now

E60
My E60 545 sport was the best 6 speed MT I have ever driven. 140k on original clutch and was perfect still when sold
It's funny how people look back at the BMW manuals with reverence - none of mine were ever great. My e46 m3, 135i and z4M coupe had the same rubbery, long throws and it was very notchy (like too difficult to put in gear, not the good notchy) when cold.
Porsche's manuals are miles better than anything I've ever used by BMW. However, I still want to eventually get the numeric shifter for my 991.2.
Back on topic, my local dealer is selling a 2019 Turbo Cab for 5% off sticker - I never thought these Exclusive Series would hold like this due to the high sticker, but we are in a whacky time right now: https://www.greenvilleluxury.com/use...cf5f928771.htm

This chart provides an illustration of the insanity.
Wholesale used vehicle prices (on a mix-, mileage-, and seasonally adjusted basis) increased 4.55% in the first 15 days of May compared to the month of April. This brought the mid-month Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index to 202.9, a 48.0% increase from May 2020.

Got this email from the dealer I purchased mine from. Very good experience by the way. Can’t help but wonder what my 10000 mile ‘15 4S sport chrono is worth today.

Who really cares about dash material? This car will still get at least 200k with the ol' rubber dash and someone will happily pay it. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=302308113

SPASM, Sport Exhaust, Wheels, Brakes, Audio, Seats, even Sport Chrono can be overcome... I can add that stuff later on if I want. Full leather? Nope.

I do. I think non full leather cars are unbecoming of the brand and marque. They look cheap inside. However, that is just my opinion.

Had a 991.2 with full leather. Thought it was beautiful, but not me. I like full leather in some Porsches, but not others. I regretted not getting it in my GT4, and would order it in any 718. But actually feel the 991 interior went "Panamera/luxury car" enough that I prefer the non-leather interior. Keeps the 991 a bit more "simple 911" to these eyes, so my next order skipped the full leather. I have never regretted that decision, and the simple dash and doors (as well as the vinyl's grain) remind me of the G50 Carrera and other throughly German cars of my childhood. It's subtle, but I like it. And no airbag seam on the top of the dashboard is nice, as well. I also like the non-leather interior in GT cars, and especially the $300k GT2 RS. And an awful lot of the "most Porsche" 356s, 911s, etc of old have vinyl interiors. But I also get why some like, and have to have, the leather. It really does look and feel nice!

Sounds like you have Full Leather++ lol. Any pics of the leather keyfob?
If you go on Vin Analytics and put the VIN in, it will say something like whats circled in red below, instead of "COLOR standard interior"

Full leather includes the leather dash, leather door cards, and leather center stack. I might be forgetting one or two things. Beyond that, you can order additional leather bits like the air vents, center console, center compartment lid, etc. like you mentioned. You can even order the defrost vent (between the dash and the windshield) in leather. Those are all a la carte and can add up quickly in price. My 997 has full leather, the leather center compartment lid with the embossed Porsche crest, and thicker steering wheel leather. According to the window sticker, that was about $4,500 in additional leather on my car.

I am not Rich enough for a $100-$150K single use track focused car.. hence the toy I buy must have 3-4 personalities and at the very least check a few boxes in each arena
spending North of 6 figures for a semi-daily driver, weekend getaway car, occasional track duty and bad-day-cure slow drive with music On.. are just a few uses of said car for most of us (I assume)
While it needs performance parts for weekend thrashing and occasional track, and a semi-decent audio system for sunday drives.. it must have enough semblance of "luxury" and " quality" even if I am just sitting in the driver seat in my driveway
which is why i must agree with those that find it objectionable to be stuck with rubber dahs and peeling door cards.

Actually, full leather can be added later—though I wouldn't do it.
