An extended warranty is simply insurance. We buy insurance to protect against potential losses we could not (or don't want to) afford, even though the vast majority of us will never collect what we paid on the policy. Think homeowners' insurance: 90% of people will never make claims equal to their invested premiums. Term life insurance is the same. You'll almost certainly never use it, but many buy it anyway to protect their families from catastrophic loss of income.
You buy insurance for peace of mind against losses you cannot afford. The chances of any one individual having such losses is slim, but most of us buy the insurance anyway for peace of mind. Auto repair insurance (which is what an extended warranty is) should be viewed in the same way. If you're fine with covering a potential major loss out of pocket (think PDK replacement or a serious engine or electronics problem), then don't buy it. If you're not, buy it and sleep better. I'll probably buy an extended warranty for my 2013 C2S Cab w/PDK when the CPO warranty runs out for that reason. I COULD write a check for a PDK replacement, but I'd rather not. And if I never use it, hooray! I hope my family never needs my life insurance, either!

Difficult to find reviews online about them, found some say they scam do not pay out, and others that "highly recommend" them, but those seem very fabricated, like they are being written by Patriot...
Usually when it sounds to good to be true it usually is, like to make sure they cover the PDK...
Even though its a great price with 0 Deductible, dont think I'll sign on the line just yet...
Going to research them more. Curious to know if others in our Forum have any experience with them?

It's not so much that, as it is who does your SA have a relationship with, and how effective & fair are they with paying out against claims. They know. They deal with them every day. They know the good ones from the stay-away-from ones.

I had a few hours off this afternoon since my work schedule freed up... and my HEAD IS SPINNING!!! So many third party warranty (well not really warranty, Vehicle Service Contracts) companies, all have good and bad reviews...
Got down to about 3k for no deductible for a 5/60k VSC, but will they pay out when they have to?, I really don't know...lol
I'm thinking I'm better off keeping my money and just self insuring.... I dislike any dealer (sorry my opinion) and having VSC draws me back into having to deal with Dealers and Warranty (VSC) companies, which I cant stand, most are out to tell you no and to take your money...and most warranty companies wont cover PDK's!!!
So after a few hours of research I think I'm done, I think I'm gonna self insure and not tie myself to all these companies that want to take my money and not perform...
Thank you for everyone's advice!!
