Default Service cost - high or reasonable?

Got quoted $2600 for spark plugs, air filter, oil change, brake fluid change and cabin filter at the dealer. Sound reasonable?

I’ve done everything but the plugs and brake fluid. Will do these myself.

They also wanted to buy my car. Lol. Btw. the 992 looks pretty darn good. But the 991 still looks great and I was a proud owner when service guy pulled my baby up on its return home. Had two recall items done.

Reasonable? No. What the dealer charges? Yes.

About $275 in parts, the rest is labor that should take about 4-5 hours.

I have an appointment on next Monday to get two recall taken care of.

1. Heat shield retrofitting

2. Gas leak diagnostic module?? I believe

Anyways, I just picked up my 12 c2s triple black cab 7sp from Georgia. I called the dealer near my home in Northern Virginia and they said that they will take care of with loaner car.. im fine with that.....

Paid about $2100 for the same service on my ‘14 C2 1.5 years ago at my local dealer. Curious what it will be for my ‘19T in about 14 months.

Just quoted about the same. Last service at dealer I hope. Highway robbery. If I can’t find a good Indy shop I will try to do it myself or more likely move on to another brand. The dealers are gouging out of greed. We’re probably paying $1k/hr for the work. Oh and to add insult to injury I had the same bloody service done 4 years ago for $1400. Inflation is 10x the worldwide average for Porsche owners lol

Cheers,
NF.

Get them to do the air filters and serpentine belt. PCNA pays to take off the bumper. Belt and filters changed for $180. I had the filters

When I did PPI , mechanic told me belt was fine. Shoul I still do it while bumper is off? I thought about have them change filters. Is there anything else I should have them done?

Thanks

Yeap. Those were the recall items. Got a nice Macan loaner and pleasant SA.

When the bumper was off, they offered to take $250 off the service. Peanuts.

Last month I just paid $1170 for that same service on my GT4, so I would say No, it's not reasonable.

I think my dealer charged me even more for my 4 year service. Location probably has a hand in this (LA)

The 992 drives really well, too. My dealer gave me one as my loaner and I suddenly like it a lot more than I thought I would.... still love my 991.1, but it was a lot of fun pulling up in a brand new 911, and parking it in my garage
