Default T or GTS

Which is more special?

Both cars are 2019.

T - PDK, Buckets, RAS - $128K MSRP, 3.5k miles - $115k ask
GTS - PDK, PASM, not SPASM, Prem Pack Plus - $141k MSRP, 4k miles - $120k ask

"Asking for a friend...really..."LOL Trying to get him into a Porsche and eventually onto a track.

He doesn't understand the appeal of buckets but understands the financial incentive after explaining to him the secondary market desirability if he decides to go that path.

For me that is an absolute no brainer, GTS. Your buddy needs to decide for himself.

Few weeks ago I watched an auction on BAT where a nice spec 2018 T with 130K$ MSRP was sold at 91K.
The T in your post is a bit more special but without a manual? hmm at least I don't think it's the "ultimate" T people really want

Buckets would be a show stopper for me... I road in them in my friends new GT4. For me they would be super uncomfortable to ride in for any amount of time. And getting in and out would be one a real chore. I am young and fit but they would not work for me...

love the 18 ways on my manual T. The adjustable side bolsters do make you feel secure.

If you are going to go PDK... you may as well go for the GTS. Wide hips.

If you were going MT, and wanted lighter weight for the track... get the T.

Price for the T is too much imo. I agree with @BlackOptic , T is the way to go with a manual. However, PDK would go to the GTS. The power between the GTS vs. T will more than offset any weight difference.

Greatest part of the decision. There is no wrong choice.

want a really special car? get a base C4, the rareness in on par with PTS touring. Kidding aside, just try both & get the car that feels more special to your friend

Pretty clean C4 at my local dealer, 19" with Full leather and sport Chrono, pretty damn rare I'd say. and it's a CPO, Def an odd spec tho, no chance it was a dealer order, def a custom one

Sorry didn't meant to thread jack, get the GTS, the T is great with a manual, if he wants a PDK and with that price difference the GTS is a no brainer. price is too high for the T, I know someone local to me selling a T with 12k miles, 18 way sofa's, no full leather but the T interior package, and he is asking 95k. and thats south florida, prices are inflated by at least 5-7% here.

For a 5k spread and both PDK, GTS hands down. Not even a question.

This is not cut and dry at all....

If this will be his daily driver then definitely the GTS.

If this is a second or third car, then the T.

Buckets are kind of like a cat back exhaust, they really have no material impact on performance but completely change the character and experience of the car. He will immediately feel more connected and more like he is in a race car as the result. Will the car be faster or handle better? No. Will it feel sharper and faster? YES!
