Default Anyone go from T to GTS?

Anyone make the swap from a T to a GTS? Unlikely to actually do so, but my local dealer has a beautiful GTS and got me thinking. Just got the T as my first 911 last year, and love the car but unfortunately can't help myself. Only drawback is the centerlock wheels seem like a hassle.

I've heard of folks doing the reverse path, most ppl are enamored with their T, rightfully so!

Just put a Cobb tune and plenum on the T and call it a day if your looking for more power.

Tune? Sure Cobb is a good OTS, the protunes are magnificent I hear
Cats? Yep
Headers? Sure why not!
Plenum - Why would you? There's not much evidence as it has a positive effect; potentially negative in fact!

If you're thinking about it, then the T will only stack up if you let it. What are you ultimately looking for in the GTS? More grunt? Back seats? A badge?

Only you can determine what you're going to be happy with. Dealers always play these games to increase their bottom lines. Who's benefiting the most on the end?

Really? Who's gone from .2 GTS to .2 T?

Not quite the same but almost - I just traded my 18 base Carrera for a 19 GTS. Way more power and I love the wide body. I custom ordered mine so I opted for the Carrera S wheels instead of the centerlocks. I didn't want the potential hassle of dealing with a flat in some remote location.

Apologies, GT3 to T - a few folks have mentioned in other posts.

Yeah, I haven’t heard of that. The fact that you get a wide body and more go, seems like you go from a T to GTS.

I can see that happening, but now with the GT3 manuals, that would be a tough move.

I like the GTS look, and don't like messing with tuning. Don't really need the extra power since I don't track (though I may down the road) Chances are extremely low I'll actually do it, but just entertaining the idea.

I love the look of the wide body GTS, and was looking at CPO GTSs when I stumbled upon the T.

For me, there isn't enough of a different to switch... My T is has the LWBS and the whole experience has me very satisfied.

I looked at the T before I pulled the trigger on my GTS. What do you want in your 911? I wanted certain creature comforts such as a the Burm, cooled/heated seats, etc. along with performance, so I chose the GTS. I also prefer the wide body style, rear seats, and CLs. I absolutely love my C2 GTS in its current configuration! If you don't need any of this and just want better performance, tune and/or add a few performance hardware to your T, save the money, and call it a day. JMHO. Only you know what you want.
