Mine is a tad shorter than that so it doesn’t go that far to drain plug.

Diffuser - so you bought a couple of diffusers form China that did not work out. Did you return them, sell them, just toss them? Feel bad for you if you had to throw money away like that.

Asking because I was thinking of taking a chance on the China ones from AliExpress, etc. They are not cheap but still half the vorsteiner ones and look great in the photos. But what you see may not be what you get. Just looking for advice and feedback.

Thanks.

the one from China was a waste and left it at the body shop, they were going to have to cut the sides and repaint it. Would have looked bad.

the one I am using was from a seller in the USA that had one from the NR Automotive I spoke about. That one showed up damaged but was far superior in construction and quality. It was cracked and so they smoked the top part while fixing it and left the bottom section carbon fiber. You can still see the carbon on the fins near the tips but they are darkened and Smokey looking.

scraped it once a little as it protrude more but just below it. Will have to be more careful but was the reason I didn’t lower it any more. It’s the design911 you mentioned and good quality.

i might end up grafting the sides more so they look like one piece instead of add on but you cannot add the front without the sides as the front sticks out to accept the side canards.

my inspiration was this:

Just so you guys and see the cheap one (diffuser) looked good while I was holding it and was tad shorter (regarding length to oil pan) but when I went to pair it up to my car it was not even close:

Looked nice but was not going to fit

Really far off and waste of money

Maybe for NB what you got sent? I like the short design better as I believe Vorsteiner had to make updates to their like cut venting holes or something, supreme power had it as part of their group buy. I believe they also mentioned that it was now discontinued. This short version is one I plan on putting on mine, so seems like I will have to look into NR Auto. https://nrauto.com/product/porsche-9...nned-diffuser/

Yup!! That’s the right one. I got it off eBay but it’s that one and it’s a solid product.

just FYI you will likely need a body shop to install as it’s a solid piece and does not bend or move much if you get carbon fiber. So they might end up cracking a little and an experienced shop can repair while grafting it. It sits under the exhaust and has enough room to ventilate the hot from the pipes.

i can’t speak to a serious track day and heat soak all day but so far no issues with it and doesn’t smell like it’s going to burn up.

So here you go:

1. this link was when I got home after body shop and let it idle after driving it. I switched off the exhaust to show that you pretty much only hear engine and not exhaust. It chops like my gt350r I had when open!

2. Light revs - picked it up from Porsche after exhaust install (headers were already done before) they revved it so I can hear it and it was warm. Under 4K revs.

3. cold start the next day after I got it back - wait till 1.00 and the engine finally warmed up and revs dropped.

enjoy!

^^That really sounds nice at low RPMs. I can only imagine at redline!

Default Love ducktail and the mods

Ducktail make 991.1 unique and cool. Too bad they stop making it for 991.2 and 992. Exhaust some angry, can you post some hard revs? Love to hear that sound at 4-5k rpm

Impressive build. Do you have front axle lift? I think you might need it with that lip.
