Does anyone know if there is a clear wrap for the new Matte paint finishes? And subsequent to that is there a ceramic coating for use on Matte paint?

I believe Xpel Stealth is what you would use. You can also use it to make glossy paint look matte. My PPF guy has posted a few cars he has done on his Instagram with this. Looks pretty good.

"Finally, A Paint Protection Film Specifically Formulated For Preserving A Flat Factory Finish."

"As smooth as satin. Whether your vehicle is matte, magno, frozen or frosted, self-healing XPEL STEALTH will keep it looking effortlessly pristine. Or, protect your gloss paint with a whole new look!"

I used Dr. Beasley's Mini Matte Kit to clean and protect my black matte Targa bar. A few months later, I then had matte SunTek PPF applied over the bar. (I believe you advised me on removing the Targa script so I could apply the film: again thank you). After the matte film, I applied more of the coating. It is really nice not to have to worry about scratching the fragile factory finish, although I am still very conscious when loading gear around it.

I used XPEL Stealth on a matte factory paint job and it was the perfect solution. In my case, only the hood and trunk were matte, so they installer had to use two different types of PPF depending on the paint. But Stealth was great for matte black paint.

I'd love to see any pics if anyone has a 911 they've wrapped in green - especially British Racing or Irish green. I think the closest is the Avery Dark Green Gloss...

Voodoo Blue FTW!

I had the rear grill wrapped in Matte Black....not 100% sold. couldnt really replace the grill with the 991.2 because of the SportDesign rear wing and the .2 grill would have an empty spot where the 3rd light goes so I went this way.

VooDoo, Mexico and of course Miami, are my favorite Blues - I get my wrap from APA albeit I am not sure what others they have but the wrap from APA is a perfect match. However, if one is doing an entire car in a new color it only needs to be close.

these wraps are typically printed on vinyl. A guy local to me makes and installs them. Lots of sign companies that wrap commercial vehicles can do this for you

Actually, it was a "spray wrap". Its a much more advanced version of the old Plastidip concept by a company called Autoflex( I think).I decided to try it based on some of the benefits they claim: Peels off like a vinyl wrap, doesnt shrink over time(ive seen some wraps that shrink in corners like air intakes) and there are no issues working around the complex curves of the Porsche. its been great so far and it can by buffed and waxed like paint so I will do that in the spring. it was also about 30% less than a vinyl wrap.

Did you apply it yourself or was it done professionally (it certainly looks like it was done professionally))

Edit - never mind - found lots of info online.

I would love some more detailed info of this product. Who does this type of spray wrap?

Looks amazing. I can't believe that is a spray wrap.

The .1 GTS engine grill would look great too.

Not a single authorized installer in WA state. Interesting business opportunity - wouldn't mind opening a shop that does something like this...
