Bob Z.-I ran Stage 2 last night with no problems and I just spoke with Cobb support and told them which mods I have (Soul Performance-Sport Cats and IPD Plenum) and they told me that I am good to run a stage 2. If this doesn't sound right I'd love someones input. Don't hesitate to call Cobb-they are very responsive.

Anyway first post on Rennlist and happy to finally be a Porsche owner.
Congrats. Pics a must to proceed.
From what I can tell, those are all solid vendors for your aftermarket stuff.

Cobb has great customer support and I have had one of their Accessports for a past car. But I do have an upgraded plenum, just high-flow cats so I am probably better off with Stage 1.

Keadog,

Thank you. I am super excited about this car. Had some too dark for me tint removed this week and took it in for the 20k service and general check. I have spent too much time keeping other cars "factory original" so I am excited to finally have a car I can do the opposite with. Nothing too crazy just a little extra noise and torque. The mods I am researching are thanks to the many suggestions on Rennlist. You can imagine I have a basket full of "things" in Suncoast and other suppliers just waiting for me to pull the trigger. Previous post has me now thinking about suspension? hahahaha!

I am new to posting so will get a picture hopefully over the weekend and figure out how to post in a separate obligatory "new Porsche owner" thread...in the meantime back to enjoying the feed back on the Cobb tunes

If you have questions how your tune is handling with your setup, do a log and send it for review (either to Cobb or post on this forum thread).

Looks like I did do this incorrectly. I should have only run Stage 1, which I am doing now. I'm reaching out to Sam by Design regarding an upgraded exhaust and pro tune. Thanks for your comments cause they cleared up my ignorance on what map to run after speaking to Cobb a couple times.

Accessport arrived this evening and easily installed stage 1 93 oct under 20 mins on my ‘17 base Carrera. Took for a quick test run and now I truly understand when people say the car is transformed. Loads of torque, smoother shifts and maybe it’s my imagination, but the car sounds a little more aggressive.

Well done, Cobb...well done.

Do you have to leave the Accessport connect after flashing to Stage I 93 or can it be stored away?
Not really interested in having it sitting out like the pics on their site.
Thanks.

My understanding from the install directions is it can be disconnected after install is complete. I’m going to get a couple logs as the weather warms up over next few days, then toss the AP in the frunk.

is this the version that ECU does not need to be removed?

On his behalf, yes, and I will be installing mine via the ODB port today as well.

Thanks, that would be a plus for me. Don’t want any extra stuff in cabin if not required.

Correct, you do not have to leave it connected.

Another check in the “pro” column as I evaluate the options. No need till Spring, but going back to (or to, for that matter) a dealer makes this brand the clear leader for my funds at this point.
