Ladies and gentleman, the completed plan of my car is in my head.
What rear wing is that? I've been looking for something similar to add to my 991 which is my dedicated track car

Who thinks @3DMetal and @Tyler@APR should print me a set of these brackets so I could finish my car? Nothing like a little peer group pressure?

Those are tractive DDA suspension bits, right? The camber plate for them - is it adjustable or a fixed plate? Will it work with an adjustable camber plate?

Tractive come with adjustable camber plates. So yes they work with them. 🤣

Perfect, thanks. That solves the question of whether I need adjustable camber plates or not. So you went adjustable control arms because you couldn't get enough negative camber with the adjustable plates? Also, you said somewhere - I forget where - that you were losing some drive after putting the Tractives in? On the whole, you feel they're a worthy upgrade? Did you get a custom map from TPC for your car? Presumably you went with stiffer springs front and rear (esp. rear to cope with extra squat from the higher power and greater acceleration?)

As you get faster at the track, you need more. The control arms are more about less deflection, getting rid of rubber bushings so your alignment is more precise and holds steady under load. The spherical bearings handle more load without flogging out like rubber.

I started conservative. 75nm front (425lbs) and 150nm rear (850lbs). It was more a comfortable targa setup.

As i got faster, the front would fall over, and cause loss of drive in rear. So now i have 100 in front to match off the rear 150. This is now the same as Tom has and I now run his track map. Its so good, i actually prefer it on the street as well.

Stock

GTS. 33/108
GT3. 45/120
4.0. 75/150. Old
4.0. 100/150 new
GT3-RS. 100/160

Ah yes. Rubber bushings will definitely make camber change under load. Good point. Thanks for the detail. Do you find the car is a little more nervous on the road with the spherical bearings?

The opposite. Is rock solid stable. You have to keep an eye on the speedo, as you don’t need to brake to corner. 🤣. You end up enjoying the turns so much, you’ll get arrested long before the car is unsettled.

3D Metal Printing

Looking into up gradinf my GTS turbos to the Tial 660’s. They also have these turbo inlet pipes.

Brembo have finally sent replacement front calipers. Should be here tomorrow. The original totors were 48 Vane, whereas the new ones coming are 76 Vane. So they should run a lot cooler. Fresh ME20’s, fresh SRF, New Goodyear eagle F1 RS 265/35/20 on front and Cup2-R 305/30/20 on rear.

With the new 100nm spring rate up front and new/faster DSC controller with the new custom map, I should see a new PB on the 26th April.

Then more power and more Aero, and more E-Motion bars for the rear.

Finally

Brembo came through and warrantied the cooked calipers.

I bought new 72 Vane rotors as the old 46 Vane ones were worn out. Fresh ME20’s and Fresh SRF and i will be back on the track shortly.

In above photos, a few post ago when you installed the E motion LCA, I see the brake dust shield is still installed. Have you consider removing to help cooling?
