Isn't the stock tire size for the stock 12" GTS center lock a 305 width? Also, if Michelin says 11.5" is the max for these section widths, why have they mounted 315s on the rear 12" 992 GT3 rims (albeit 21 diam.)?

Can’t disagree with you, it’s a contradiction.

Dude, Seriously. Try Porsche, and converting inches to mm. 305 is stock from Porsche on the 12 inch rim.

Why? Because there are 25.4mm per inch.

25.4 x 12 = 304.8 mm. Looks like perfection to me.

i have run both 315 TrofeoR and 325 R888R on 12’s at the track with zero issues.

Also a Porsche N0 305 is wider than a Ferrari K1 305 and
a McLaren 305 (TrofeoR). So the manufacturers know that Porsche run 12’s and Ferrari snd Mac don’t.

Replacement calipers

Finally. New calipers. New 72 Vane Rotors. Fresh ME20’s.

Off to the Track Monday! 🤣

Brembo supplied temp stickers to see how hot these puppies will get.

I expect the sticker to burst into flames. 🤣

Report back here on the, umm, 🔥 🤪

Remind me exactly what the brake setup is. Were the brembos an easy "plug and play" install, or was there much teeth gnashing and fitment issues?

Haha yes. I had just done the test run. I check for fluid drips. On a brand new setup, the fluid can fill around tge thread. So always get a drip after a few hard brake applications. So stop and clean before putting cap on.

Brembo GTS. Full plug and play. Straight on. Perfect fitment as everything is replaced.

They are in for a baptism of fire tomorrow. The car is setup for a PB. My track buddies predict Brownbo’s by the end of the day and PinkBo’s by the end of the week. God bless my mates. 🤣. Helpful fellows. 🤣

You have to look at a lot of different aspects of this and if you look at the tread widths and section widths of these different tire sizes in the Michelin versions it kind of makes sense sort of !

Not difficult at all. K1 is Ferrari fitment. (smaller) N0 and N1 are Porsche fitment. And McLaren and Lambo also have their own fitment.

Brake temp

Sticker one side lasted one session and got out of there. Other side was gone after two.

Hi Sorry to drag up an old post, what mounts are you using for the lap belt? I am looking at adding the harness bar at the moment, just deciding on which one based on stock levels!

Hi Mate, Epic mods you have done on your beast here!! I too have a GTS here in QLD. I am looking at Harness bars at the moment and just wanted to know a) did you still have the original harness bar you used before your 4 point and did you want to sell it OR where did you source it from? These seem to be hard to come by at the moment. The Brey Krause are around but 5 weeks to get here and almost $700 just in shipping!

I may bolt the 4 point harness to the floor, instead of messing with my 18 way seat. I think I will eventually bite the bullet and get a Porsche LWBS. The one that folds . They are come in the GT3 Touring. But they are $15K each. Ouch!

I need a new helmet to run a HANS. Working on that as well. Only two track days left this season. So will have it all by next year.
