Nothing major at all and the header is fine as is. From reading this thread it seems you really like the car and I had to order my Targa since there was nothing even close to my liking when I was in the market. If the price is right do not let it go, especially if you can get them to throw some tires on, or at least the rears and you pay for the fronts, but you can use them for a while so maybe just get them to drop the price.

IMHO those are very minor issues. Would have no problem buying that car with the results of that PPI.

I agree that the issues noted are not a big deal. However, I was wondering what caused the dents in the 2 headers in the first place. Does the dealer have any thoughts?

I would bet the entry curb to his/her driveway or parking garage at work.

The dealer is being very vigilant, trying to solve the various issues. Hopefully, Porsche will agree to fix the door panels. The dealer says they may have some used headers in good condition. They think they can fix the scratches on the drivers seat. They're checking on tires. So far, I've been impressed with their customer service.

Does anyone have experience putting all-weather tires on 911s? What tires are recommended? I'm in Colorado, and our winter is long and unpredictable. I want to be able to drive this car when roads aren't perfect.

I would go with a full on snow tires for winter mounted on an extra set of wheels.

I hear you, but I hate constantly switching tires out on all my cars. Over the years, I've transitioned to using all-weather tires with a M/S designation, along with 4WD. I think that should be adequate, and keeps me from having to keep 12 tires mounted in my garage. Just not sure if there are preferred all-weather options for 911s.

A little over a year ago I posted a very similar message. I was looking for a SB Turbo S Cab. I had been looking for over 2 years but hadn't found one for a reasonable price. I got a message the following morning from a member who had just traded the car in, so I was able to work out a deal before the dealer even had the car!

You will love the SB. The 3 things you need to do right aware are the Smart Top controller, the clear side markers (I can send you a pic if you want to see the difference on mine), and the Ultimate Cupholder.

I would go with snow tires on a winter wheel set and swap out twice a year.

buy a pair of snow tires on winter wheels, and have the dealer (or your tire service garage) store the other ones for the season.

If you have to have that car and Porsche refuses to fix the door warp panels, then may I suggest searching this forum for a recent thread featuring pedrosgarage.com? I know some members say it is an easy fix. I don't think so, given that you want the door airbags to function.

As a side note, it has been my experience that Porsche's goodwill seem to correlate with how much business you have with the brand and how much effort your Porsche dealer service advisor advocates on your behalf

Well, this is my first 911, so I don’t have any “good will” with my local dealer. Hopefully, the place I’m buying it from can fix it. Wondering if I should do a second PPI to inspect their work.

You're searching for an awesome car...but, in this case, door panels and header damage would give me pause.

I'd imagine there are several launch vehicles in exact spec?
