FOUND! 2015 911 Targa- Should I buy?
I'd like to find a 2014-2015 911 Targa in the launch colors, with the launch wheels, etc. Exactly like in the original advertisements. Anyone know of one for sale?

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, the GTS trim just doesn’t look right to me. I can’t get into the black wheels, black model name, alcantara, etc. I’m not sure if it’s a purist thing or what. Back in the 80s when I was drooling over 911s, all of those things would’ve been after-market. My brain still sees them that way. So,
the search continues...
btw, I also love the GT3T in Sapphire. One just came up at a dealer in North Carolina, but it was sold by the time I called.

Sapphire blue is the best color! Wheels can be swapped out. I'm not a fan of alcantara (I ordered mine in leather with GT silver deviated stitching and painted interior instead) but the GTS also gives you a little more HP than an S.
Good luck with your hunt!

I think I've found the car I've been looking for! It's a 2015 911 Targa 4S in Sapphire Blue with Pebble Grey interior. I'm super excited. Assuming it makes it through a successful PPI, this will be my first 911. Check it out:

Notice the blemish on the driver's seat upholstery. Any idea whether that's fixable? How much might that cost to get repaired, and where should I go to get it done?

Congrats - looks like a nice example
Would expect a decent upholstery shop might handle any issues related to the driver’s seat. No idea on cost but should not be a difficult task.
Couple of modifications you might consider:
Black floor mats - I have the same interior color and the black mats help break up the interior
Clear corner lights - my exterior is Agate and this made a significant improvement
Colored wheel centers - even with the clear corners now installed, this change (along with valve stem caps of the same) helps give some contrast.
Good luck and hope it works out to your liking !

Yes, black floor mats are a must and that driver's seat bolster can easily be re-dyed for not much cost. Surprise the selling dealer didn't have it done.

Congratulations! SB Targas look so classic. I love mine.
The seat blemish looks superficial from the pics but I can't tell for sure. If the rest of the car meets your requirements then I wouldn't let that kill the deal. Would be worth having the dealer fix it if it's deeper than that as part of the negotiation.
A very good easy DIY mod is the Smart Top so you can open/close the targa top from the key fob.

Anyone have pics of those black floor mats, or the other modifications suggested above? Curious to see what that would look like. I'll ask the dealer that's doing the PPI if they could just go ahead and fix the seats.

I just noticed that the original marketing images, as in the original post above, have the clear corner lights. I do think that looks better than the orange. Is that something I can swap myself, or requires help from a mechanic?

Hopefully is passes the PPI to your satisfaction...had a long drive yesterday with the top down in beautiful weather, the perfect day for a Targa. And I agree that the SmartTop is a must do mod, along with clear markers, etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc....

Nice looking example, hope it all works out :-) try to find the opinion of a leather expert before committing though
