manual?

Burning Brakes
^^ Reminds me of H-D riders, who are among the least fundamentally skilled motorcycle riders on the planet. What they have in common with above is the need to blip the throttle constantly. It's like an extension of their childhood rattle. Just got to somehow make more noise than necessary. As for heel & toe, wish I had a dollar for every person that brings it up as the final answer to everything. I'd buy my first private jet.

That picture was just to show in one description what they have fun with and enjoy with a manual compared to Auto-stick. Plain and Simple. To go back to OP original thread, YES I wished Dealers would be specific when advertising their cars. IF it's a 6-7 speed manual STICK say so, if PDK then make that clear, that's all. Some enjoy manual gears some love that PDK, apples to oranges.
And I'm not even going to address your assumption that I drive like a Harley driver that loves to blip my shyt constantly nor an extension of my childhood rattle or even love to make more noise as necessary as you don't know me, nor a lot of the people here that expresses their love for driving manuals, how we drive or how we are as people.

People who learn to drive manuals with clutch rarely ever go back to transmissions that don’t require rowing through gears and coordinating a clutch.
i agree it’s a feeling of being at one with a car and being part of its mechanical nature.
you can’t discount the fact that driving a manual transmission takes some aspect of skill and many take pride in that.
Sorry to say but any grandmother who can barely walk can get iinto a PDK car and drive it just as effectively and quick as anyone else.

I haven’t driven a PDK so I can’t speak to the learning curve... I can tell you I’ve owned my manual C2S for a month now I’m having to WORK HARD to get better at fast shifts.... I hadn’t driven a manual in 20 years and EVERY damn shift has been a pleasure (except that first week when, uh, twice, I started in reverse at a stop light... that was a bitch/slightly embarrassing).

Driving a manual is more engaging than a PDK, there's no way around it.
