Default 991.2 Reset Oil Light

hey guys,

I recently changed my own oil in my 991.2 C2 and I have the oil change due light on, Porsche states they will not reset the light without changing the oil themselves even for a cost, I guess this is new protocol. Has anyone ran into this issue and how did you take care of it?? I did a search but didn’t find much for 2017+ Thank you!

Talk to an Indy repair shop. Eventually a Durametric tool should allow you to DIY, but currently it does not.

There are various OBD readers out there that will turn off the service lights. Do a search on RL as it has been posted and discussed. I have used icarsoft for my .1 for years, and I thhk they work for the .2

Durametric tool does work on my 2018 GTS for service reset, codes, etc.
Did you go to their site and update the software version?

or get a iCarsoft PORII on amazon for less functions, but cheaper.

I just did my first oil change myself a few weeks ago. Used the Icarsoft and it worked great. They don't give a lot of directions on it so you have to fumble around a bit.

There are some videos online that make it easy (sorry, too lazy to google right now).
