New calipers all round so now 6 pot fronts along with slightly bigger disks at the front, rears are same size but red. Didn’t want it off the road or I could have just repainted the rears.

Yes, straight swap.

Need:
calipers
front disks
hard lines at front (the lines that go between caliper and the little bracket where the brake hose joins is a different length on the 6 pot)
pads

I reused the wear sensors and caliper bolts. You could replace both of you felt it was required.

I also added braided hoses whilst there and flushed through with endless fluid. I also replaced rear disks as moving to a new pad compound and figured new disks and pads all round made sense.

super helpful, thank you. did you notice a real noticeable improvement?

i'm curious how changing the brakes might interact with the programming of the electronic nannies, or even RAS for that matter.

Front track now 22mm wider with more camber, adjusted toe too, need to take some caster out as ran out of time so may go to 28mm wider when I do that. Feels great.

DSC Controller next up

That’s very interesting matter, so basically you pull out 11mm front suspension each side, that’s looks perfect! , maybe I’m wrong or my knowledge on this matter is limited, so that’s why I asking many questions, I’m just trying to learn and get more knowledge of this matter.
How much Caster do you have now? , I am confused because under my understanding this cars have around +8.5 degrees of Caster per side by default, and my alignment’s technician (he has lot experience with Cup Cars alignment), told me that there is no adjustment of caster on this 991.2 CarreraT , Caster is fixed.
How you plan to modify Caster ?
By pulling out suspension only in front you are changing all the geometry of your car, so are you plan to do something on the back to compensate? Rear and Front Sway bars’s rigidity most be according to the changes in body roll.
If your car has RAS, you most be aware that by modifying front suspension , at the same time you are modifying the steering behavior interacting with ECU’s data used to alter angles on rear steering.
Do you have more pictures to see how those front tires looks like?
thanks for sharing! Cool !

The red insert (thrust arm bush) in the new lower arm allows caster adjustment via the offset hole, currently just under 10 degrees but will adjust back to around 9.25-9.5 which is what GT3 comes with.

By adding camber shims in the arm you move the wheel out so add track without changing scrub radius, then pull the top mount towards the outside of the car. Basically end up being able to adjust camber either by adding shims or by using the top mount. Adding shims adds caster, then rotate the thrust arm bushings to adjust caster to suit.

No RAS for me so didn’t have to worry about any complications, just added camber and set toe to suit. Maybe add the OEM 5mm spacers to the rear in the future.

Will get a picture of the front wheel tomorrow for you

No RAS so can’t comment on that, RS29 have great bite, can’t comment on the rest as still under lockdown in UK so not really driving it hard...

I installed GT3 lower control arms as well. Installer said he didn’t need to adjust caster. I’m running 2.4 camber up front, 1.9 in rear, zero toe up front and 0.15 toe in rear. With the DSC box, handling is great and understeer is almost eliminated. .

The more shims you add the more caster is added, I chose to go for a wider track by adding more shims rather than going with min shims required to meet my target camber.

Is your rear toe per wheel or total? Set up sounds similar to mine, agree that based on my limited driving thus far understeer is massively reduced

what DSC file are you using? That is tomorrow’s job for me! Great that you rate it.

Getting back to pictures, there wasn't much of a view on the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday. Fogged in.
