and a "lightweight" version of the 911's Sport Chrono package that keeps the dynamic engine mounts and steering-wheel-mounted driving-mode selector but goes without the usual dashtop gauge (although that can be added back in for $320).
Dynamic engine mounts are also part of the Sport Chrono Package. The electronically controlled system minimizes the perceptible oscillations and vibrations of the entire drivetrain, particularly the engine, and combines the benefits of a hard or soft engine mounting arrangement. In short, it enhances both driving stability and driving comfort.
So basically the 90% features that normally came associated with SC are standard on the T, and the $320 cost of SC on CarreraT is only for that little watch and the track app!
Great information! Thanks
99% sure no dynamic mounts on the T, bit of cost cutting by Porsche...
today curious after all this interchange of information, I went to my Dealer Porsche to investigate, and checking the Porsche data system using my VIN # to verify if my car has or not Dynamic Engine Mounts, and guess what? << Nop>>!!! apparently this is not feature for all CarreraT .
it doesn’t matter if it’s 2018 or 2019 or if it’s came with SC or not ! So 100% no Dynamic Engine Mounts on T .
After having the dynamic mounts go out on me in my Cayman (around a off-camber corner that in no way is dramatic), I am of the opposite mind. I am fine with the static mounts. I know some guys have actually gone after market and stiffened them up even more for a good butt to engine connected feel.
Losing the bet to Alex was TOTALLY worth that price!
