Thanks - I've posted the specs just above. The brakes are great, I got them during an Essex sale (and favourable exchange rate), but if I were to do it again, I'd probably go with the competition kit for weight savings and better pad availability. I've been using Fereodo DS1.11 but want to use DS3.12 instead, however it's been hard to source for the RT kit. Functionally, no complaints, they've been flawless.

The paint on the calipers is weird though- not shiny like all my other newer calipers. They cleaned up but the finish is weird- if you don't have ceramics do all T's have that finish on the calipers?

(and the clear corners are on their way from Suncoast- mandatory mod!!)

That's the color unfortunately after some time. You can upgrade the calipers to the S calipers or get them refinished.
They work well and are def good enough for the track from what I've experienced with a good set of track pads/fluid.

Here's a recent picture of mine. Just under 20K miles in this picture and after a track day.

325/30/19

Camber -3.2/-2.7 F/R

No issues rubbing, the wheel offset is good for track use. I have a set of Fikses that were intended for track, but when Apex released these with clearance for RWS in a 19" wheel, it was too good to pass up. I was previously using Cup2 but these AR-1 are excellent alternatives.
What suspension are you on to get those camber specs? Was it necessary to fit those fatty tires in there?

I agree, the stock brakes with upgraded fluid and pads are suffice for most HPDE levels. I ran the car showroom stock at the track and faded the brakes, but the overall experience was better than expected. Upgraded fluids with Ferodo DS3.12 pads made a world of difference.

Aside - I have a new set of Endless ME20's if anyone is interested. I wanted to try them out but ended up with the AP kit instead.

No issues with AR-1 265/325 sizing, they would clear stock suspension and clear the current lowered height. However, I ran Cup2 265F 325R N-Spec on stock suspension and that was already a problem; had to adjust front caster and max out rear camber on stock arms to make it barely work. I would not advise; stick with OE N-Spec sizing for Cup2 if that is your tire of choice.

Suspension:
Tractive DDA w/ DSC Sport
RSS Front XL LCA
RSS Front XL Toe Links
Tarett Rear LCA

Well, your dentist is going to rip the front splitter off his Taycan one of these days...

Ha! If a dentist can't patch up a front splitter easily enough, they have no business being a dentist!

^^now that’s funny. Nothing on the Taycan seems to be coherent to Porsche except the emblem on the front. I’m glad they made it but I dont think it will go down as a classic/timeless design. I’ll stay with my T all day everyday over the Taycan…but I do love that color.

^^^ I thought the same about how snugly the front of that Taycan is hugging the sidewalk/pavement!!

I actually like the look of the Taycan, especially with the ‘Mission E’ look. I’ve seen a few out in the wild, and the low, wide look is very sporty in the metal, quite 911-like, in fact! To my eyes, at least.

If they had brought the Cross Turismo out earlier, we'd have that instead of a Model Y right now. I'm a fan. I can see how they are polarizing, but it is the future, even with Porsche developing their magic fuel... I called them eclipsing sales of 911's a couple years ago, and that has proven true. Not sure if you have ever been in/driven one, but try it. It is the best electric car for drivers I have ever been in. Much more of a car than just a conveyance that a Tesla is. They did it right.

I test drove one and was amazed by it. The steering, seating position and chassis feels so much like driving a 911 around town. I didn’t take it in the canyons, but around town at 4/10 it felt sooooo much better than a Tesla. Not to mention the overwhelmingly better build quality and material selection in the Porsche. I seriously don’t understand why people buy Teslas, a $20k Corolla feels more premium. My wife is going to get a Taycan, so I’m sure I’ll get to take it for a rip up CA2 eventually 😊
