Will try and post something early next week... bringing my "new" T home to AZ this Sunday from the bay area. Already have clear corners and a shift boot/lever on the way from suncoast... and a oil change kit...
Lousy pix but brought home a new to me T from San Jose to north Scottsdale. Long day started at 6AM with my son flying me and a friend over- picked up car and left for AZ after 12. Traffic on I-5 really sucked but much better after exiting I-5 at Bakersfield. Hit a major lightning show just entering AZ onI-40 and was glad we didn't get hit by lightning! Heavy rain but no hail... home by 12:30AM...
Quick first wash this AM- full detail to follow when I'm actually awake...
18175933[/url]](OEM ET49 20x8.5 front and ET76 20x11.5) dear friend, is smart to see these Forgeline on 20x9 ET46 front with only 3mm protruding to maintain driving performance advantages with -7mm negative of scrub radius. (-10mm stock value). But at the rear using ET63 (13mm out) was too much because the transverse geometry of the car is not balanced , you should be experiencing understeer situations by now! The correct offset you need at the rear to achieve the perfect crossover geometry based on the fit of these wheels is ET71. Only trying to help! Wheels and car are gorgeous!!
no under steer issues
I trust that Forgeline knows what they are doing
Been awhile since I had an update.
It's been 1 year since I purchased this car at 10k miles. Currently just passed 20k miles and it's my secondary car
Was previously on Litespeed RS5RR wheels and found a set of my dream wheels, BBS FI-R's. Litespeed was custom spec'd for the 991.2 and will be up for sale soon
Have also installed Kline Equal Length Headers.
Car as it stands:
H&R springs on stock SPASM shocks
DSC Sport controller
BBS FI-R wheels on Pilot Sport Cup 2 240 tires in 245/305 sizes
APR Tune
Soul Cat bypass
Kline Equal Length headers
997 GT2 seats with matching Carrera T interior package centers
Recently took a trip for a track weekend at Watkins Glen. Never been there before and it was truly an amazing track!
At the legendary Seneca Lodge
At Watkins Glen International
At Lime Rock Park for an FCP Euro C&C
And the rest of the pics
New Wayb Pico Car seat. Good for travel and excellent for the backseat of the 911. It gives both the kid and the person in front of them plenty of legroom!
No issues rubbing, the wheel offset is good for track use. I have a set of Fikses that were intended for track, but when Apex released these with clearance for RAS in a 19" wheel, it was too good to pass up. I was previously using Cup2 but these AR-1 are excellent alternatives.
I know it's a sickness but I have to have clean wheels and undercarriage. Got my new to me T home and while it is "clean" some left over cosmoline, etc on the wheels needed to come off... it also runs better when clean!
The paint on the calipers is weird though- not shiny like all my other newer calipers. They cleaned up but the finish is weird- if you don't have ceramics do all T's have that finish on the calipers?
(and the clear corners are on their way from Suncoast- mandatory mod!!)
