I'm not a yellow guy but I think yellow is the most flattering color for the Carrera T. However a car driven by lots of noobs on the track is less appealing. If that's the case that's why it likely hasn't sold.
Hrm, couldn't a demo car have just been a dealership loaner and / or an exec car? How does one find out this info?
If it’s a good dealer, they should be forthcoming with the info.
But be on the lookout for one or a combination of the following items:
The first entry on Carfax is higher mileage (1500+) it’s a good chance it was either used as a PEC/PSDS car or press car.
First sale is an auction in GA/CA.
First service is Birmingham, AL (that’s where the PSDS is)
There are several cars on the market with the EXACT same spec. They might also have similar mileage, and first sale/auction times/dates.
Ahh, all great points there. I hadn't even eyeballed the carfax yet. I've been to the PEC a few times so I'd say its likely it spent time there or at Baber.
Even if its a PEC / PSDS car, that's a great spec and a great price. I'd jump on it.
You think so? Doing the Master The Manual Course at LA PEC, those cars are beat on pretty hard. Not sure that it matters, but it would give me pause....
Maybe, with warranty it is no issue?

I think if the DME checks out with little over-revs, then things should be good to go.

Absolutely - I did that course in the T in ATL, and the entire track was either 2, 3, or (maybe 4) - so the transmission doesn't get really stressed. Brakes and oil are replaced every few hundred miles per my instructor, and maintenance is well above the norm, I'm sure. As long as the car didn't get bent, I'd have no problems with purchasing one.
Think about what the cars are like at events like the Porsche World roadshow. I drove some caymans which were so beat and loose it was hard to believe. I wouldn't pay 50% of the value for cars demo'd in a track setting. Those cars feel different than a single owner well tracked car for some reason.

agree - even if the car feels fine, why buy one thats been used in this way when you find another that was handled with care by one owner? the T’s will be hard to come by in the future, but right now you can find them. worth paying more for the piece of mind IMO
