Anyone care to provide a “V3 for dummies” synopsis of what it does and how? Interested but, can’t wrap my head around exactly what it does and if it is worth the $$. Thanks.
Short and sweet:
- if you want a more comfy ride than stock add the V3
-if you want a more precise handling car add the V3
-If you want to utilize the full opportunity of the your car add the V3
The car using the G-sensor and level sensors at each of the car’s corners to stiffen both the shocks and engine mounts to best control the car given the situation.
I have spasm in my car and at times the ride was just too rough... this v3 smooths out the ride quality and then can instantly turn the firmness to 100% (exaggeration) to deliver the performance that is being required. In summary if I have 10% lean in the car I am now between 2-3% lean with the unit installed.
Looking forward to sport mode and tracking it.
People have been bothering me for years to purchase this V3 unit... I should have bought this years ago. Worth every penny.

I will let others explain the technical aspects, but for $1000-$1500 (whether you buy new or pre-owned) your car becomes a proper daily driver in "normal" mode and significantly better handling in corners in both Sport and Normal settings. I have a .1 GTS with S-PASM and even then the difference for me (at decent spirited speeds in corners) is night and day.
If you never really push the car much, it may feel like a small improvement, but start hitting some familiar roads and you will feel the difference right away.
I like what I am hearing except for the comfy in normal mode. I have no issues with my T in normal mode or any other mode for that matter. Having said that, my T is not a daily driver and when I drive it I am perfectly okay with a ride that is not comfy. Sounds like a great addition overall.

I wouldn't confuse "comfy" with "compliant". Some of the most expensive one-off super bike suspension I ever got for my race bikes (Direct from Ohlins) was way more compliant over bumps NOT comfy.
See a properly set up race car go over bumps in slow motion, it is undeterred by imperfections.. Its not comfy
V3 takes unnecessary harshness out of PASM , which I assume Porsche "Leaves" on the table for those who may confuse harsh/tight with Sport.
(Kind of how Starbucks over roasts their beans for those who confuse bitter with strong coffee.)

^man lots of love here. I gotta bite the bullet and buy this sucker soon! Been following this thread for years and never bought it, even when one showed up locally. Shame on me (:
any warranty issues with the v3 dsc controller or do you guys just pull the controller when going in for warranty work?

completely agree. Feels like expensive ohlins has been added to the car for normal driving.
The car now more appropriately reacts to road imperfections.

+1 to this. Had TTX Ohlins on a past car, and despite much higher spring rates, they were more compliant feeling.
The V3 doesn't exactly turn your dampers into TTX Ohlins, but it's a big improvement. There is sometimes some softness in normal mode, but it's momentary and overall vastly improves both normal and sport.
