I have some corner weight scales for some other cars so figured I would weigh my C2S and see how it came from the factory. 3/4 fuel tank and about 15lbs in the frunk. No sunroof car and RAS. I weighed my '79 the other day and the '18 came in at 627 lbs heavier. (sunroof, AC, smog pump car with 39 years of grit on it)
Total weight 2018 C2S - 3325
Corner weight distribution - FL-17.7% FR - 19.1%
RL - 31.6% RR - 31.6%
Front -36.8% rear 63.2% (in comparison my '79 was 40/60)
Left total 49.3%/right 50.7%
Cross weight RL/FR - 49.3%, RR/FL 50.7%
2018 C2S - 7.91 lbs per 1 HP
1979 911 SC - 14.98 lbs per 1 HP (when it was new. haha mine has 172,000 miles and a tired motor)
For comparison my Factory Five Cobra I built - 5.16 lbs per 1 HP (and no traction control!)
And for fun
2018 GT2RS (3241 lbs) 4.63 lbs per 1 HP
As expected the 911 came nicely set upon from the factory. I don't really plan to do anything with these numbers on this car. I just figured since I have the scales anyways it wold be fun to see and make a comparison to my '79.
Anyone else weigh theirs? Would be curious how different options/models would change the weight.

Great info. The 3/4 tank of gas weighs about 80 pounds (assuming about 6.3 pounds weight per gallon according to the interwebz). So if you were running on fumes, your weight would be about 3,250 pounds (after subtracting 75 pounds of fuel). Porsche quotes the weight of a PDK S as about 3,220 pounds DIN. So pretty close to published specs.
Thanks for the info. I'm going to be weighing my 991.1 GTS on my scales soon. Trying to get over 10/1 weight to power with driver for TT3 for NASA. They take the average wheel HP around top of rpm range so I think I can make it.
10 lb weight reduction in rotational mass is a big huge... it's kind of like having super light wheels. In theory and tests done on the impact of wheel weight/size, it would make the car faster to accelerate and stop.
