STOUT: It is difficult to assign a specific value on options when selling the car. If the car cost $150k and sells for 30% less at 105k, it was based on the overall cost of the car.
A PTS car with ceramic brakes may cost 170k and sells for the sale 30% off at 120k so the difference of 15k (while the same 30% discount) translates into 100% back for those 2 options.

Hard for me to explain my thought process, but I am trying

I've seen 1000's of pre-owned cars hit the market. Your comments are flawed.

When the car is finished I will do so. It came off the truck with stickers still on the car and straight to PPF. Should be finished in a couple of days. Getting tints on Tuesday, PPF finished tomorrow.

As far as VIN and Build sheet, that is not something I would post publicly, but you will be able to see the color and many of the options in photos.

Build sheet or VIN then?

Curious on what you think resale will be on your car in 1, 3, and 5 yrs.

As a matter of fact I am the international decider expert on what people are to like and what they aren’t. Kidding of course if people followed my tastes all cars would be blue.

Whoever ordered that "crap" color certainly didnt think it was crap when he ordered it and paid a premium to get it, he thought it was fantastic. That being said, I may think certain colors are great and would be willing to pay a premium while you may look at the same car and be unwilling to.
Even Porsche with all their color style experts end up putting out colors that just not that many people want. For example Lime Gold Metallic was a total flop. Now, I wouldn’t knock someone who loves it, in fact he’s lucky to be spoiled for choice because there are plenty of hard to move LGM cars out there. The truth is that most people don’t love it though, so it doesn’t command a high resale. Similarly Miami blue may have once commanded a resale premium when it was rare but probably takes a hit now that there are lots of them and it’s kind of a love-it-or-hate it color.

But it’s all about how many were made and how many people want it... if there’s a brown that they made 2 of and only one person wants it, it may go for a lot less than a green that they made 1 of but that two people want.

Anyway if I were ordering new right now I would totally want to order PTS! Having a fun and rare shade of blue would be super cool! But I would do it for me and not expect to recoup the money spent on resale, but it would be a cool bonus if enough people’s tastes were similar enough to mine to command a premium.

Just post the build without the VIN#. Geez.

Think some Eastern Europeans are going to track you down and steal your car and have it end up in Russia or China?

Don't put a front plate on. (-$5,000) at resale with drilled bumper.

That's probably a $160K-$170K build. Close?

What color interior?

By the way, nice looking Targa.

I have no intention of putting on a front plate and will pay every ticket they want to give me.
Build cost is close
British Racing Green, Alcantara Delete with all Espresso Leather interior.

What you (and I) think is nice, the next buyer may not. I built it and chose the color I loved. My daughter told me it looks like a Frog.

Go figure,,,

How much did your "friend" dealer owner give you % off MSRP?

It was a custom build with PTS on one of the last 991.2 GTS Targas in 2018. I was happy to get the allocation.

I prefer not discussing anything money or cost related. Not my thing..

You are mistaken..'

Discussing the cost of options provided by Porsche and me telling you how much I paid for my car or how much (if any) discount I received on my car are vastly different.

I never discuss how much anything I own or buy or sell costs. Lets drop this now.
