Blackvue has motion sensors, you can download the Manual from their site

Understood. I think you misread my last paragraph. I said it didn't have an option for one-frame-per-second capture in parking mode, allowing for continuous recording but with file sizes that are 30 times smaller for longer parking mode recording times but with everything captured once per second. And yes I provided a link to that manual back in post 86.

I did find this web page listed power consumption for earlier models. It doesn't mention lower power drain in parking mode so maybe I'm wrong there.

I just unplug mine when I park it in the garage at night. No need for video of everyone going out there to hit the freezer or second fridge, or to let the dog out the side door to go do his business in the woods there. Just plug it in when I get in to leave in the morning.

Like Cyberbug says, the BlackVue makes it so you can filter for each event type. Instead of directories, the BlackVue tags the filename of each file with a one-character extension reflecting the event type and one character denoting front or rear. So an impact event file for the front camera is marked with a _PF extension and a motion event during parking is _EF. If you use their app for viewing the files you can filter for just these files.

Here's a link to the manual download if you need one: https://www.blackvue.com/download/dr...anual-english/. Pages 33 and 34 describe this in detail.

One other important observation. In parking mode the camera shouldn't be recording the entire time, just when motion is detected or an impact occurs, so it should be easy to find just those files. You shouldn't have a bunch of files to dig through if parking mode is hooked up correctly and the camera isn't recording continuously. If it is recording all of the time, you are using far more power and will run down your battery much faster. Are you sure the camera is switching the parking mode?
Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I saw most of my files were PF or PR. I suppose I did not look close enough for the "E"

If anyone needs a Power Magic Battery Pack (B-112) for their install, please DM me. I have a brand new unit that I didn't end up using, that I can sell for less than retail.

I originally thought/concern of running the Power Magic Pro was not sufficient and running my battery down. After using Power Magic Pro for few months it seem to be suffice for me. Then again, everyone's case is different since I park my car in the garage after work so I don't need that long of run time. While at work, I usually try to find more secure spots w/o much traffics so I don't need that long of run time either. On the other hand, some folks who parks outside or on the street that require longer run time will probably need these (At least I would).

I think the B-124 allow you run up to a week long without touching the car battery.

I see thanks, the B-124 last around 8 hours when used with a BlackVue 900s recording at 4K.

Here's an example of power consumption between Driving Mode and Parking Mode

Any good ground sources near the fuse box? Especially passenger side?
