Daily Driver?...
Daily commute about 50 miles round trip. Current F150 King Ranch driver....thoughts on trading for 9 Elf as my daily driver. Thoughts on using as daily driver?..maintenance considerations?.

Perfect for daily driver. Why would it not be? Reliabe and solid - just requires scheduled maintenance - likelihood of other maintenance needs is low.

Life is too short not to. My industry is a little blue collar so I use another vehicle for DD.
There was a time when I used my 997 for commuting to work, and I loved every second of it. I stopped worrying about 'putting on miles' and started to enjoy the fact I was getting to drive a 911 everyday. They are designed to be used as such.
Before my 991.2, I had another 997 which I didn't drive as much, just on occasional weekends....the car didn't like that. I think they run better when they are driven more often.

Three Wheelin'
I daily drive mine....and love it. Most days, I take the long way to and from work, just to be able to enjoy it a little bit longer. Its as capable at daily driving as it is about most other things.

I don't drive mine in the winter, but I drive it almost daily now that spring is here. Faster and more comfortable than my Golf R.

If you love driving, you will love the 911. But I think whether you will love it as a daily driver largely depends on the quality of your roads. On a smooth roadway, the 911 is sheer joy. When the going gets rough though, you will discover potholes and bumps you never knew existed in your King Ranch. Hitting a 3" high road buckle every 100 feet , mile after mile, gets pretty onerous very quickly in the 911. Unfortunately as our nation's infrastructure deteriorates, the ratio of the latter to the former will only increase. (Not to go off topic, but I seriously think this is one of the reasons why interest in sports cars in general is declining).

I have a 991.1 C2 MT and it is my only vehicle.
I drive it all seasons all the time.
Having said that, I'm not sure it's ever seen 3rd in the city.

Great DD in most all conditions. If you live in a cold climate, summer tires turn into hockey pucks in deep winter so consider an additional set of tires for constant freezing temps. Specs define loss of traction below 40F. Otherwise, not many other cars will make you as happy.

Race Car
Given that there's another thread going about it being a "fat pig" it must be a good DD. How could it both be a "fat pig" but also not a good DD?
Seriously - yeah any non-GT 911 is a great DD for almost anyone. Even the GT cars are okay DD's for the less feint of heart - not me however.
