Daily Driver?...
#92
My direct DD route to and back from work is under 15km total yet I seem to find more than atleast an hour of driving in my car taking a longer route every day. depending on stress level at work the driving time tends to increase. its pure enjoyment. and the fact that I do this every day and then can just grab my helmet and drive to the circuit over the weekend to bash my car around for a day and cruise back home without doing anything but adding fuel is what is so magical about this 911. Its an over engineered marvel. a keeper.

I loved my Audi S6 - it is a beast and feels seriously fast. It’s got 4 big doors and plenty of space inside too. However , once I got my hands on a 991.1 C4S- I never drove the S6 anymore. Even if it meant cramming kids into the rear “ seats” and smashing baseball gear into the frunk. My Porsche is my daily. In the city , in the snow and in traffic. And I’m thinking to get into a manual 991.2 next. I may regret that.

As mentioned on my previous post, my 2014 Carrera S 7spd manual is a daily driver. I live in BayArea with one of the worst traffics around, pot-hole filled roads and this car is liveable to do so and love it. I use to daily drive my previous Panamera 4S on 21"s. My wife also daily drives her Cayman R 6spd manual.
We don't keep our P-Cars in glass cages only to look at it or not let rain/dirt hit it being afraid it may melt. We use it with the purpose of enjoying the vehicle every single day, it sees rain, dirt, grime etc.... It goes for weeks and weeks without a car wash

Oh, and in reply to the previous post, a manual 991.2 is the way to go!

Just replaced my 2010 Audi S4 daily driver with the 991.1S as a daily driver. Also in SF Bay Area where the traffic and roads are ****. I did opt for a PDK though to make it a little easier to sip my morning coffee on the way to work.

991.2 MY19 C4S drive it all year round. I no longer commute to work, so I don’t know if I can call it my daily driver. But I do drive it whenever I go anywhere.
SC, PSE, PDCC, RAS, PCCB, and a PowerKit. Can’t wait to drive it on the track.

My bad, I meant to say all 4 of my 911s, not 991s.
Having said this, one was a 2005 997.1 CS which has been with me for many years, then I had a 991.1 CS, traded it for a 991.1 GTS,
which has been totaled while parked curbside by a young boy in his Mustang. He has totaled 3 cars, including his own. He failed to prove he had an insurance either. But that's a different story. Then while looking for another 991.1GTS with a stick I found a 991.1 TTS which I loved so much I bought it same day I saw and test drove it.
Later on I was thinking of getting me another MT 991.1 GTS, but happened to locate on a small dealer lot a MT '96 Miata with <45K miles and perfect shape. I bought it on a spot and now it shares the DD duties with my TTS.
