^ It's all such a matter of taste. For me, I don't mind yellow PCCB calipers on a Guards Red car—and even think it looks good on some cars. A 996 GT2 press car that's now in the Porsche museum comes to mind, as does a friend's 997.1 GT3. For me the saving grace in both cases is silver wheels and no gold Porsche crests. There's something about car color, caliper color, multi-color wheel crests, sidemarker color, and even wheel color that come into play. Some of these can go either way, where gray wheels look so good with yellow calipers that they might create an exception to a situation where I wouldn't like a silver wheel on the same car. But, generally speaking, too many colors in that one area = no good.

The "generally" is the key thing, imo. There are always exceptions to the rule, and the whole thing is a matter of taste anyway. That's why there are choices!

I also prefer silver wheels, generally. But I can’t get over how pretty the titanium grey Carrera S wheels look with the big yellow ceramics and the monochrome Porsche crests on my Carrera T. And yes, all just personal preference, of course, but the above passage from your last post read spot on to my eyes, Pete.

^ This.

Gray and yellow go very well together, especially when it isn't carried too far.

Now THAT is super cool. It's given me some ideas for decals on my incoming T in Guards Red. I love the yellow accents, such as this CT that was liveried for the 50th anniversary of the Rally Monte - Carlo.

I too enjoyed this tribute to the 911T and Vic Elford ("Quick Vic"). Here are some of my Rennsport Reunion photos (from a few other angles)...

I even decided to buy a memorabilia t-shirt from his website, and found a nice grille plate for the MC 1968 win.

Is that Rallye Monte-Carlo logo available on a t-shirt?

Did you ever make it to Oregon?!?!? We've had some snow. That is an understatement. :-)
