Took the Carrera T out today for errands as my DD is full of X-mas decorations going to the storage locker. Parked in the garage at the Galleria (between two SUVs - voluntarily!) Parked at the grocery store. Blasted down I-10 and back up Westheimer & Memorial. What I love about the Carrera T is that by most historical performance measures, it's a supercar. Think about it - it posts 959/F40 type numbers (and better in places) - and yet it's perfectly comfortable tooling around town as the grocery getter. And you know what - I still had fun driving it that way!
Two fun moments stand out - a pair of young men in a Z-car pulled up next to me with a big thumbs up and commented that the Carrera T was the 911 they'd buy if they could - I told them anythings possible if you work hard and prioritize well. Second was the Tesla with dealer tags that lined up next to me and proceeded to try and race - he smoked me off the line and was probably doing over 80 before I pulled 1->2 - but folks, we don't race in town, and the unmarked cruiser behind me swung around and made his day :-)
Get out and drive 'em!

It does fine. I do avoid a few spots (ahem, Briar Forest between Dairy Ashford and Wilcrest), but no general systematic problems. I do not have FAL - the Carrera T is precisely the same ride height as my RS-Spec ride height 993, and I knew that car didn't have problems. I have scraped the lip a few times in Austin, but it's minor and they're cheap to replace.
Hope that helps!

Sunday afternoon drive up to Bartlett Lake with my new Porsche buddy BA73. His white Carrera T is on order and won't be here until April, so I took him out for a T experience to hold him over until his arrives.

Trip to Ikea at 10:04 am today. Not as adventurous as 911-TOUR
