How much did the whole car run you, if you don't mind me asking? I'm not on the hater crew, PM me if you like. I'm just genuinely interested. I have a good friend who fixes up salvage high end cars (R8, Gallardo etc). I would like to convince him to do a 911 so we both have one.
Great job. Enjoy her in good health and hope the repairs hold up.
Wonder if you'd be restricted from doing a PCNA HPDE or the like tho or any track work given its history...but otherwise if not hey looks awesome and sounds like you go your $$ worth although I don't think you ever posted how much it set you back (salvage purchase + repairs and labor).
I do know that sometimes its not worth the squeeze paying the admisison price the dealer asks...saw that with guys buying 981 Boxster and Cayman's when I had my 2014 Cayman S...then the Cayman GTS came out and the GT4 along with a shop in Fl that would put a 991S engine in a used Cayman/Boxster for $20-30k in labor and engine costs.....car would stun a few Carrera 991 owners out there for less than what their owners paid and also hang with the 981 GTS and GT4s for a lot less when you looked at it. If mine had not been brand new at the time hell I'd have picked up one for $45-55k and done the engine swap especially out of warranty. So hey kudos to your hard work!
By the comments it's easy to see the 991.2 fanbois. They like the new cars as a trophy for how much money they can spend on cars and care not about having fun with cars. Bunch of posers.
thank you for staying tuned with this project, forget the haters!

That isn't true. Pete Stout, mooty, unotaz, Whoopsy, CJ, usctrojan, Haku, sgroer, Montoya and many more care about having fun with cars, but they also have 991.2s. Not for posing, but driving. They aren't a trophy for how much money one can spend on cars. I would say Bugatti and Lamborghini lead in that category.
More pics! Great news alignment is straight. How's the ride? You let it out yet?
Great job. Enjoy it.
thanks! Love the ride. Such a fun and amazing car. Caught me by suprise. And oh, it gets the looks by people. Haha. Here are some pics from todays ride
