Interesting - I have a 2012 991.1 base with 7MT that probably is worth around $60k. I'd love to add some power, but there are no worthwhile options. I'd also love to swap some gears or final drive, but have yet to find anyone doing this. Finally what sound deadening can be removed? That sounds like a nice DIY project.
I love driving my car, but have always wished for a little more low end power and a little more volume.

Headers, plenum, exhaust and filters make that 3.4 sing beautifully also. has a placebo effect of power too when it roars.

1. Shorter gears (especially for us manual drivers). I really hate these longer gears that are designed to meet emissions and mpg standards and not my driving pleasure standards.
2. SPASM available on a base model (I literally went to Porsche exclusive and asked them if there was a way they could add this option on my Base 991.2 order - no can do)
3. RWS for the base model.
4. Lighter weight 911. (granted 11 lbs and cloth door pulls are a bit of a gimic in my view).
5. PTV on a base non C4 model
6. Light weight bucket seats available as an option.

- Limited Slip
- Standard sport exhaust.
- Standard 20" dark wheels.
- Standard GT sports steering wheel with mode selector
- Standard short shifter.
- Some nice interior and exterior cosmetic tweaks.
- Wart-less sport chrono option. (this one should have been bundled standard as well)
Other than the idea that $105K+ for a 'base' car from anyone sounds a bit preposterous, I love the idea. And given how much performance headroom is thought to be in these 3.0 turbos, it really might be the ultra-hot ticket for those who like a less expensive, lower option, more visceral 911. And hopefully one that is actually obtainable rather than another mega-customer/speculator/flipper intentionally production throttled car.
Parts bin special? Sure... Just like the GTS, R, and most every other 'special' edition.
Not much of a weight reduction? Yup, that's a bit of a stretch. But pull-tab door openers are cool.
Would I want one? Absofukinlutely.

It got me onto the configurator too for the first time in quite a while. A chalk paint option would be nice...

Agreed with all of the above, especially the OBTAINABLE part.
PS. The manual is $102,100.00 base.

I actually have a track focused but still streetable car right now and am thinking to shift back the other direction as I only track my car ~4-5 weekends per year.
