Default Loud pop under acceleration, now no boost.

Was accelerating up a grade and heard a loud pop. Only had 1 to 3 psi boost for the rest of the drive. Also have a loud woosh sound when accelerating. Didn't go into limp mode and no check engine light. Assume I may have blown a boost pipe somewhere?

Definitely a boost pipe loose or broken. Take to dealer should be able to be repaired.

I agree with DJ23

This was a typical day for me back in my DSM era ....not the dealer part though

check those clear boost solenoid/vacuum lines, I bought my TTS with one of those popped out. Was only making 12 psi and also had loud whooshing sound.

See Big Swole's thread for a potential cause......y-pipe breakage?

Possible throttle boot pop. Easy to spot, so I recommend checking that first. And if it is, upgrade to a 2019 boot which has better fasteners.

Doesn't look like it's the boot or Y pipe, guess it's bumper time..

Take it back, it's the boot. If you don't look real close, it looks like it's ok. Clamp slid off when I moved it though. At least no bumper pull. Thanks for the help!

You don't happen to have the PN for the new style boot do you?

Another interesting part change.....my 2019 does not have the fake vacuum nipple under the map sensor that is shown in your picture.

Hmm, so that will work on a 991.1 TTS?
