Happy to hear on the drone, I think the factory has a bit of drone so hoping to get rid of that.

Does the kline with 100 cell cats give you a check engine light?

There's no drone in any configuration I have used with 70mm or cats on/off, especially with headers. Headers eliminate the boxer rumble, which I think is a substantial part of low-rpm drone, but open it up to scream up top or under boost.

Good to know.. I'm inquiring on some systems right now.. If anyone's got some used inconcel stuff, let me know.

Also, can anyone touch up on catless vs 100 cel? Powerwise I'm assuming they're not really different but will one save you from CEL vs the other?

Inconel vs stainless... Difference is in sound and weight, correct?

PS: That avatar says so much. Love it.

That is a TOUGH question. Cat vs no cat. Back pressure over 630ish rwhp will become an issue. EGT will as well. Totally depends on your build. Personally, if I used Meth or wanted more than 630rwhp, I would delete the cats.

@SamboTT@ByDesign could advise you better.

This is correct. Actually right there about 600-630 on a 200cel and 650 or so on a 100. Exhaust design matters as well of course. With decat we see 700wheel easy on stock turbo's on a .2 TTS on 100 oct. With 100cel cats we have to push a car hard to hit 700 wheel no meth.

Can you guys touch on the CEL? Obviously it's gonna happen with catless exhaust... Has Cobb figured out a way to hide the CEL code through tuning with their software?.. I remember in the Subaru/Mazdaspeed days we used to be able to hide and delete codes through a separate tuning software offered by cobb... You could also set your own launch control RPM with that software... This doesn't really get mentioned here on rennlist as I'm assuming people do NOT want to tinker with their cars like that.. Better to leave that to the tuners.

That’s a good question there are different ways to handle this. Most tuning solutions no longer permit access to that. For “off road use only” we can definitely get you racing maps so you don’t have to worry about that

There are also some people who use appropriate sensor spacers to have no check engine light or of course you can do 200 catalytic’s or proper set up 100 catalytic’s and have no check engine light even on factory software. It just depends on the state you are in and what the regulations are but we can generally take care of anything you need.

Thanks for the very intriguing idea of trying to reduce low-rpm drone by changing headers instead of exhaust. I need to look up who else might be selling ELH besides Kline, and if they work with OEM cats.
