Looking forward to your review of the Cup2s and how you will end up ranking the PS4S vs Cup2s vs Extreme Conti's.

Me too! Just waiting on a good weather day so I can really go "Test" them without having to track it.

My new job / schedule has less time during the week for me to go but more wknds. However, I will have several "admin" weeks throughout the year(s) to do some weekday driving.

I don't think one can rank a "best" because that would change based upon time of year (four seasons), type of use (track or street), and driving style.

Having compared all 3 (just not on my current Turbo S), the Cup tires are only #1 for track use, but wear out very quickly.

PS4S would be the #1 choice for those who want to do both spirited street driving and track use, but only when pavement temps support getting the tires very hot.

The Conti DWS06+ is my new #1 all around choice for spirited street use only. It's great year-round, wet or dry, and you just can't sanely push them hard enough on the street for the PS4S (or Cup 2) to have an advantage.

It's only been in the last 5 years or so that UHP all season tires have developed to the point of being nearly equal to max performance summer tires for spirited street use (even in summer), and they are vastly superior in cool, cold, and wet conditions.

Good Info!!

I don't really expect to ever run the Cup 2's for street use much, over the PS4S or equivalent. I just wanted to try them and having more knowledge of what they're capable of. Really hoping to do a track day sometime to feel the real difference.

P.S. I recently drove my brother's 991.2 GT3 on Cup2s in the Augusta, GA area. Even though temps were in the 70's, the Cup2s scared the crap out of me, with the car getting loose on multiple occasions. We just weren't able to run them hard enough to get them very hot, which is what they need to be.

Also, be very careful about not getting caught in a heavy downpour on Cups2s. They can be terrifying.

Exactly!

I Will NOT be running them unless it'll be in the mid 80's - high 90's in the mountains and it'll be a trip to the Tail of the Dragon or somewhere that I can keep constant heat in them. Hopefully with zero chance of rain. But here in the South in the afternoon's, there's ALWAYS a chance rain pops up out of nowhere. I hate the humidity here!

Honestly, I think it's nearly impossible to get Cup2s hot enough on the street to ever be better than the PS4S. I think the track is the only place one can do that.

Tail of the Dragon is way too dangerous with all the blind curves to maintain the speeds necessary to do that, even if you can manage to do it on a day with minimal traffic.

You might be right. Few friends with different cars have run them there but on the old pavement. They said it was better grip with cup 2's but minimal for the pace anyone "needs" to carry.

The new payment will be a bit slicker until properly broken in anyway.

Oh well, I just wanted some experience with them and do hope the track is where I get to find out really what they'll do. We'll see.

Thanks for the input for sure !!

Today I did an Oil and Filter Change (36,618 miles) and then swapped over to my New to me, Sport Classic Wheels with brand new Cup 2's on them.

Few pics...... I LOVE the looking of the Sport Classics.

Case & POINT!!!!!!!

Did just a tic under 500 miles yesterday with 2 separate drives. lol
A buddy that couldn't make the morning drive decided to come up later.
So we waited on him and then did another 200+ miles on some different roads.
Almost hit a dear but we love Night drives. Good times!!!
