Got a 130 in a 55 criminal speeding ticket today. Been through this so many times that I'm not phased when in the past I'd be suffering from anxiety for weeks.
Anyone in AZ watch out for a yellow 5.0 mustang. He was riding up my *** for a mile speeding up and slowing down with me, essentially edging me on. Finally had enough and dropped the hammer, gapped him hard and slowed down. About a mile later he catches up to me again and starts riding my *** then the shocker with the police lights. Gaahhh!
Going to own up to it but inform the prosecutor what he did, hopefully they can lower it to a civil speeding so I can take online traffic school. He said he was doing 130 and I was still gaining, I wasn't even looking at the speedometer. These cars are stupid fast.

In my opinion, that is the very definition of entrapment. And a dangerous entrapment at that with him riding your *** speeding up and slowing down. If you slowed down to let him know you wasn't going to play, he probably would have wrote you a ticket for driving too slow. If you break checked to get him off your ***, you'd probably be in jail. Anyways, this was an all around sh*ty situation. I'd lawyer up. Good luck getting the ticket reduced!

Sorry that happened to you. Something similar happened to me a couple of years ago. I was driving on the 118 East bound going home from Simi Valley in my newly acquired Lexus LC 500. A Dodge Charger pulled right up on my bumper and kept trying to get really close. I was doing 70 mph and in the middle lane. I figured it might be a drunk driver because if they wanted to race they could have pulled up in the right lane (there were cars in the left lane). So I floored it and moved away into the right lane. Wel shortly theeafterl the lights came on - it was cops in an unmarked car. They told me over a loudspeaker to pull over at the next exit which was about 2 miles down the highway. I did so and 2 cops emerged and asked for my license and registration. I handed them over. They went back to their car then reemerged a few minutes later and asked me if I had been drinking which I hadn't been and if I knew I had hit 96 mph and why I did that. I told them I was very sorry and had stepped on it for a couple of seconds and the car was new and was just enjoying the ride home. I really wanted to say something like "Why were you riding my *** so hard I couldn't even see your headlights" but I bit my tongue and didn't. I figured out that maybe they were trying to get a closer look at the temp tag on the car. They shined a flashlight in my eyes and asked me to look left and right. Then they handed me my license and registration back and said "You have a really nice car and clean driving record so let's try to keep it that way and so please slow down a little". A lucky escape for me!
Now many years ago when I was living in Michigan and in my 20s I almost lost my license. I got up to 9 point out of 12 and my insurance rates were sky high. all due to various speeding tickets. I've tried to calm down and be more careful nowadays but I've also been lucky because I've definitely done stuff and not been caught.

That sucks - hopefully the defense of his erratic driving and egging you on by tailgating will help alleviate the issue.. When I was in my 20's (many years ago) - I got put in hand cuffs - it was in a "slow 911" (85 Carrera) - but managed to sweet talk my way down to a few traffic tickets.
It came with an epoxy but I wasn't ready to commit to that just yet so I used heavy duty 3M double sided adhesive tape for now.
Lol...probably the same adhesive they give you with their air scoops. I bit the bullet and got the spoiler extension. Your car had me drooling. I think I'll go the tape route as well.
Saturday morning twisties, testing out some of the new suspension tweaks... Great day with some good friends! (Or should that be good day with great friends?)
